The exact set up I want. Nice 👍
Thanks for making this video its helping my decision making a lot.
That truck gets up and goes wow!
Those air ride seats make a world of difference. I’ve driven a Ford L9000 with them and an International medium duty without them and you’re miserable without them. Ford makes great dump trucks and they make the best chassis’s throughout their entire truck lineup.
Best video of the 650/750 made so far. Thanks bud
That’s a nice truck! I’m sure it will serve you well. Right on buddy!!!
This is a cool video. I’ve been fascinated with these medium duty trucks ever since I was a kid. I think it is because of how versatile they are as a can and chassis. Outfit it how you need it. I saw a lot of F550’s as flatbeds for construction crews and a lot of F750’s as dump trucks, actually.
Those old L series Fords were wonderful trucks. Never heard a bad word about them from OTR drivers. Was a shame when Ford left the class 8 market. New truck looks great, amazing what a 'medium duty' is capable of now with modern technology
Love this modern look F750. Great truck.

I started in 70s, with a F-600 big Gas engine A 4 and two speed rear. Pulled a CASE 580 meany a mile with that. Lots of city driving to work site's. It had the Low sided dump bed.
I just realized ford made an f550 and f750 today! Man these are beautiful trucks. I've known about the f650 for years. I'm surprised it took me this long to connect the dots with the different models!

Looks so easy to get around in
Thanks for the awesome review! Wish manufacturers actually ran their trucks around like this instead of walking around them
I work for a county road dept. All of our dump trucks and semi's as well as most of our equipment have air ride seats. They are nice when you spend all day in them, but man can they be a pain in the butt. Most of our air leaks develop in the seat. We have one of the those Ford F750's at my shop. It's set up as a flatbed with a dump bed on it. In the fall and winter we put our chip box on it and use it as our chip truck. It hauls about 12 yards of chips with no issue, plus it pulls our chipper. Ours has hydraulic brakes though which I hate. There is no Park on those trucks. It's Neutral with the parking brake set. If you let anyone drive it, or move it make sure they know the parking brake must be set. Might not be as big of an issue for you since you have air brakes but in ours we've had some people forget to set the parking brake. Ever see a bunch of county road works running after their truck?
Nice truck brother. Hope it brings many a mile for ya. Thanks for posting.

I really enjoyed this video! What kind of MPG are you getting now? It was great to hear you got 9.3 when unloaded and picking up the new truck! Much better than most class 7 trucks will get.
Todd, love the channel. I really appreciate how thorough you are in all your videos. My 1.5 yr old son absolutely loves the Todd Cast. I recently started a small excavation business and I chose to start out with a new Kubota Mini ex and things have been progressing quite nicely. My question for you is with overhead on the machine and trailers and my pickup, when did you decide it was time to buy the dump truck with all your other expenses?
I like your truck. I’m down here by Wilmington and my dad and I run a quad and a quint. Would love to have something like this one day to make deliveries on the beach.

Nice truck. I think we'll see more of these pickup truck-style cabs on medium duty frames for comfort and fuel economy (like Chevy getting back into the MD market). Also, the 466 is a 7.6 liter engine, but the turbos on them flows less air than these newer smaller displacement ones.

Congrats on the new truck. I blew the 6.7L in my 2012 F550 at 87k miles. It was my second Ford lemon truck, the first being a 2003 F250 with a 6.0L. They had the motor out of it at 6000 miles to fix a leaking oil pan. So I won't own another Ford. Love my new 2018 Pete 567. Hope you have good luck with your 6.7L

@@reggieanderson885 Don't know exactly. I was driving on the interstate when it suddenly started clattering horribly. I got pulled over onto the shoulder and got it turned off. Got out to look underneath expecting to find oil and engine parts on the ground underneath, but nothing. Got back in and tried to crank it over and it was locked up solid. Had it towed to the dealer and they told me that it was quite common on the detuned 450-550 6.7L for the lower half to go, but he didn't elaborate. It was fixed under warranty, so I didn't care other than I was without the truck for a little over 3 weeks while they messed with it. The truck had a Swaploader hooklift hoist and was my only truck and was what I used for my dumpster business, so was out of business for 3 weeks with cans scattered around town at customer's properties and no way to move them and a lot of unhappy customers to deal with. The rear end (differential) also went out on that truck at 62k and was not covered under warranty, so I had lots of issues with that truck. Happiest day was the day I found someone to buy the truck with just over 100k miles on it. Had about $110k in building the truck and only got $20k for it, so NOT a happy ownership experience.

I’m not even surprised it’s automatic transmission. they don’t hardly make manuals anymore
Hey is it possible to pull a Volvo EWR130E with this truck? Thanks
Nice rig! How do you make any money with the price of the truck, tags and insurance. What's your hourly rate to make money. Like 60ish? What did you start out with. I currently just have a 1 ton and 10 ton. Getting a tandem soon! Great video!

Midnight Chevy I quote each job individually. Hourly rates tend to scare people. Especially if you can’t tell them exactly how long a job will take. I’ve found it’s easier to look at a job and figure how much I want to make and how much it’s worth to a customer. A good goal for anyone is $1k/day. Give or take. Thanks for commenting🙏🏻
Awesome content once again brother! Everyone I’ve asked about dump trucks tells me stay away from S/A and get at least tri axle for my excavation business. Thoughts or other videos you have talking about the single axle trucks especially now that you’re running 2 of them. Thx

Do you need a CDL to drive? How many yards of dirt do you figure without going over 26,000lbs?

Do you have a part number or manufacture for the hood mirrors?

Cool video😛 What about the F750 gas engine 7.3L Will the be better than the 6.7L diesel??? Thanks
@Kangenpower7
2 жыл бұрын
The gas engine will cost about $6,000 less than the diesel, but you will not get the 9 MPG that he is getting with the 6.7L Diesel. Perhaps if you run propane? Many areas of the country, the propane is much less expensive, and there is "Renewable Propane" in some locations. Many cities are buying the gas version, to save on purchase cost, but don't really care much about the cost of the gasoline. Depends on the miles you run every month.
Hey where do you get mirror like that I went and got one what a beast I got 14 ft body and handles it full and runs hills like my old one empty and better only complaints the air line snaped off after running home 350 i got 636 gears im about 12 loads

You mentioned later, in the comments that you hate the truck because the turbo went out and particulate matter filter. Unfortunately, I think everything made now is problematic. I hear they also have fuel pump issues with the DP4 Bosch in which destroys the engine. With that being said, I still think this is probably the best truck for me do to nothing else being much better. EPA can kiss my arss
