"Adrift" means moving without direction. That's how I'd say my 2019 went.
It went up and down like everyone else, and in regards to what I want to do, it always felt like moving a step forward and jumping ten steps back a lot of the time. As opposed to what I thought it would be like, my year was definitely a slow burn. The videos I made didn't turn out the way I'd have liked them to while school continues to put pressure
I haven't found what makes me, well, me and that's for sure. I make these videos because there's nothing I'd like to do more, but the annoyance of not knowing which style to go for or what to film has built up and it's definitely made me wonder if this is the way to go.
That's not to say it wasn't any good though. I know I've improved from 2018, which is always going to be good because I just want to get better at all this. I grew closer with the friends I have, while regrettably missing out on others.
This year did not go the way I had hoped, but nothing really does. We can only take who we are and what we have now and use it as the building blocks to a future that we can't really see and hope for the best.
That being said, I'd like to thank everyone who's been supporting me through everything. You all know who you are, and I really can't thank you enough.
To my family, my friends, and everyone else, this one's for you.
