That's called an "ear worm," a song that gets stuck in your head and lives rent-free there. That being said, I've been to Japan once almost 20 years ago. It's as lovely as they say--the food is outstanding EVERYWHERE, and I mean EVERYWHERE you go (beating out France and Italy, for one); the service is very professional everywhere you go; the tourism infrastructure is highly advanced; the ancient architecture is breathtaking, especially in the oodles of temples that ring Kyoto; and it's a beautiful country outside the cities. Downsides--it's pretty expensive everywhere you go; most of the cities and suburbs are downright ugly, with lots of signage and electrical pylons/towers, reminding me of northern New Jersey; and the summers can be horrifically humid if you're not used to that.

Go!! Did 6 years on Okinawa. Though they cringe at being called “Japanese”, the food is great, the weather there was great and the people were great! And what are they saying?
