The dog is too large for this female handler and he is doing extra awkward leg work to buy her time and pace; it does look like he is doing extra unnecessary effort. The handler should have chosen a smaller dog to train.

What is this dog doing with its front legs it don't look normal

@@manliketv3878 can your dog do that? I'm busy training my dog and it's not always easy. For any dog to get to this level is impressive and amazing.

@@Tigerssnakes i dont teach my dogs to heel like that its impractical, working line gsds and most malinois are capable of being taught all of this + more/better form. There are vids on here of dogs with perfect form, jumps and not needing repositioning. This dogs fine/probably havin an off day but eitherway i personally dont like that style of heel and how the dog kept repositioning on the sits

@@manliketv3878 my dog does personal protection as well as heel work , agility and sent work . His a lab cross border collie

I don't understand the point of training an animal to do such an unnatural gate. The animal is stunning.

Have you ever done dog training......guess not do you know what happens to dogs what are bred for working and end up doing nothing. Guess not do you know how strong the bond is between a dog and hes handler......no you don't so Google k9 behaviour and k9 training.

@@Tigerssnakes all he said was theres no point in training the dog to heel in that style (unnatural gait, which means walking) which tbh i agree with it puts too muvh pressure on elbows n back legs and looks stupid af

The handler is too shot for this dog and must slow himself down somehow for the woman handler to be in sync with him. Her steps are too short and the dog is buying her time by doing extra work.

Poor thing.... you could tell that jump hurt him.

Lots of issues with that heel 🤷‍♂️

The woman is short and has short steps /paces, and the shepherd is too large and can leap in larger distances. To synchronise them at normal pace, the shepherd had to learn extra fancy movement to buy time. With a larger man handler, this wouldn’t be an issue.

​@@lauca6969 You obviously did not see the problem yourself. The lady opted for an equestrian solution; the same solution to human's slower pace is used in horse training.
