I'm loving my 2017 CX-3, the people complaining about a lack of space don't understand who these cars were built for. If you have a family, then sure, go for a 5, but as a college student living with my bf, this thing is perfect. It has enough range to get me reliably to and from school (which is over 50 miles from my house x.x ) and it has more than enough space for us and our stuff when we go shopping together. Everyone complains it's tiny, but if they got over their inner american, they'd realize they don't NEED all the extra space, unless they have 3 kids or something like that. All of my major gripes with the car were resolved in the 2018 model, and while it is subtle, I do like the refresh it is receiving with the 2019 (except the front grill, it's a bit too much) Honestly I am pretty tempted to look into swapping out the taillights on my car for these new ones, they are beautiful. The interior refresh is the biggest change honestly. The older interior felt dated, and the red accents were a bit too much effort. It didn't help that it was a shared interior that was used in a couple different cars, I believe there was a Scion with the same interior. I will agree with the comment about preferring an AWD Mazda3, it would have made a lot more sense and I definitely would have taken that over the CX-3 if given the option, but not in a single moment of over a year of owning my CX-3 have a regretted it or wished for more space.

Are they still not adding remote start to their premium line up? It's almost 2020 for gods sake add remote start in your cars mazda. It shouldn't have to be a dealer installed upgrade for $450!!!! My 2012 chevy sonic LT has remote start and the car only cost 17k!!!

I was thinking that's the point....It's a small Cross Over....not a Sport Utility Vehicle. I suspect each Auto manufacturer had their own definition of SUV and Cross Over.

Why didn't they just leave it how it was now it just looks tacky and shit there trying too hard to be a flashy car brand the reason I bought my partner a cx3 was because they were cheap a good looking and feeling car not over the top I wouldn't buy a newer one just because it has flashy headlights and tail lights if this was the one in the yard when I was looking I would have walked away from it it looks cheaper more doesn't mean better just means more problems more fade more Peel

The main complaint of people who've checked out the CX3 in person is that the interior is just too cramped. Mazda couldn't do anything about that with the current CX3 because it's built on the Mazda2 chassis, which is already maxed out, so it seems that they attempted to do what ever they could to distract from the lack of space issue, such as brightening up the interior color schemes and adding a bit more bling. From what I've heard though the next generation CX3 will be based off of the Mazda3 instead of the Mazda2 so should be taking care of the space issues which means they won't have to over-compensate with over the top interior color schemes and what not.

before you lot start i would like to note that i drive a late 2015,mazda cx5.a great car.now,the cx3 is a waste of space.why?because anybody who has gone to see one will find that there is absolutely no room in the back for passengers.i would not even put my dog there.terrible design.

Agreed although I personally don't like the CX5 exterior styling at all and the CX5 just felt way too clunky for me. I like the CX3 in concept but as you mentioned too cramped inside but keep in mind that it's because the current CX3 is based on the Mazda2 chassis but for the next generation of CX3 they are going to base it off the Mazda3 chassis instead of the Mazda2, so that will mean more interior space, exactly what it really needs.
