Are you still liking it 6 months later? is the resonance between 1500-2000 on like 20-25% throttle driving you crazy yet?

Yes I still like it. I ended up adding a 3” straight through resonator from ZZPerformance and it helped big time and has tamed the cold start “growl” when I start the truck at 5-6am. It has reduced sound output as well but it still sounds good. You can also use the vibrant 3” resonator that’s popular. I went with the ZZP bc it’s designed for high resonance that you get in the turbo cobalt SS world when they do exhaust deletes. It’s a straight through resonator with an empty chamber in the middle vs a straight all the way through resonator.

Jonathan Stansfield Did you just install it before the muffler? I am assuming it dramatically helped with the interior drone?

I love Borla Pro XS mufflers. How are you liking it? Does it drone when cylinder deactivation kicks in?

I’m liking it. No drone but I do get alittle resonance between 1500-2000 on like 20-25% throttle but it’s def not drone like I had on a 18” Maggie clone I had on my last truck that I removed after 1 month. It’s louder than I thought tho but I like it. Might have to add some sound deadening inside my crew cab or figure out another way.

I also don’t drive in MDS mode. Always in manual 8. When it goes into MDS I’f I forget you can hear it but I wouldn’t say it’s bad.

What kind of tips?

It did alittle around 1700rpm, I added a ZZDP Drone muffler before and it killed all the drone mostly. I don't run it anymore and I moved onto a JBA catback which sounds really good.
