Why is she wearing a bathing suit and not a leotard (like a gymnast)? Bodybuilders wear bikinis so the judges can have a clearer view of the athlete's muscle definition. So I was wondering if it was the same reason with pole dancers, or if it had more to do with clothing making it harder to grip the pole.

  • @TheLordOfTheCats7

@@Karen-pk3uv I dont do pole but I thought it was pretty clear it's because it makes it easier to grip the pole. I dont do pole, but I do hoop dance. You need the skin and the sweat and moisture for friction, whether to stay on the pole or to keep the hoop up but pole is far more dangerous in that aspect lol.

You can’t be sexy without being sexual. The word sexual means pertaining to sex. The word sexy is an adjective that basically means pleasingly sexual... For instance two fat people having sex are engaged in a sexual act, but most people wouldn’t call it sexy because they wouldn’t consider it pleasing. So you can be sexual but not sexy. But you can’t be sexy without being sexual.

In this routine there’s some movements around the stage, but her strength was on the poles. Her off-pole work made her look not flexible. Her pole work was great, very fluid, but pole “dancing” I see more of as a sport category, kinda like rhythmic gymnastics. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if it was added to the olympics one day.

I didn't see any mention of that either "art form" in the video's information... BTW, what's a "poke" dancer? And why wouldn't I be in awe of what she's trained her body to do? Is there something degrading and debasing about being a stripper? Please tell us what that might be.

Tbh probably one of the strongest people out there. Mentally _and_ physically. You’ve gotta commit 100% and trust that your body is going to do what you tell it to when you’re literally standing on a pole, perpendicular to the ground and entrusting your life to your hands and feet. Ashley Fox deserves an Olympic gold medal for the strength and courage and perseverance even half this routine would take.
