It's not that big of an issue. It's just the nature of this type of (larger) vehicle which necessitates a larger distance between driver and the upper dash board. Besides, I believe there are additional cup holders in the doors and below center stack. I think there are 8 in total, just for the front 2 passengers. Not an issue!

From what I see, I think I prefer my 2015 Sprinter.

Nonsense. This new Sprinter is better than the previous model in every way... stronger chassis, more refined engines, far nicer interior, more comfort features, much needed infotainment upgrade just to name a few of the improvements.
