The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class demonstrates the truth of the old adage “You get what you pay for.” Sure, you could find plenty of less-expensive midsize sedans, but if you can afford one, why would you choose anything less than Mercedes’ ultimate midsize luxury car? Available as a sedan, coupe, or wagon and with 4, 6, or 8 cylinders, pretty much anyone who wants a comfortable, technologically up-to-date luxury vehicle can find an E-Class that will more than meet their needs.
The E-Class offers engines ranging from a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that puts out 241 hp and 273 lb-ft to the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 in the E63 AMG, which puts out 603 hp and 627 lb-ft, at prices ranging from just under $54K to well over $100K. The E-Class also offers plenty of technology and safety features, not to mention an automatic perfume dispenser, a stereo that will outshine the one in your living room, and a system that will play “pink noise” to protect eardrums during a crash. Awesome review. In market for this and can’t decide to get air body control or not. I want mainly Comfortable ride but also some sportyness when driving around on country roads.

Caveat Emptor (BUYER BEWARE!!!) I just confirmed with a Mercedes rep at MBrace that if you own a 2018 Mercedes E300, you will not be allowed to renew your Active Traffic subscription. They apparently switched vendors and have no timeline on a substitute (if any). This is a very poor way to treat customers of this luxury brand. I have also read in a couple forums that this applies to 2017-2018 E and S classes. I can only confirm that it applies to the 2018 E class as I have spoken directly to MB about my car.

Sadly...Because of all that tech, this car becomes less of a reliable and easy to feel confident in and more of a headache! Just because you can get all that tech does not mean it's a good idea! Far too much can, and will go wrong with this tech. I would not want to be the ginea pig who buys it only to end up more of a frustrated wheel runner!
