I had a 2014 s Grand Touring. It was SO MUCH FUN TO DRIVE. I loved getting on the highway with it. Then in 2019, I bought a 2019 i Grand Touring. Interior was what got me into buying it, plus that I got this one black. I was truly in love with it. Truth is, the new gen was never driven as good and as fun as the previous one. If I knew all of this ahead of time, I would have sticked with the 2014.

I just traded up from 3rd gen GS trim to 4th gen GT and the 3rd gen definitely felt more nimble and fun to drive with more body roll. The 4th gen however feels more planted and the G vectoring is noticable in corners. The new interior is what sold me. But I do sometimes miss my 3rd gen.

Love that blue color! Think ppl bought the 3rd gen m3 should keep the car cuz: 1. It’s the 1st m3 designed & built solely by mzda when mzda started 2 stand on it’s own 2. It’s the 1st m3 w/ mzda-own philosophies (skyactiv, kodo, jinbaittai etc) 3. It’s the 1st m3 w/ full-on skyactiv philosophy/tech (i.e. engine, body etc) 4. The exterior design was revolutionary; huge departure from 2nd gen 5. The license plate number positioned on the same level as the tail lights (other gens placed on the bumper)

I bought a Mazda 3 2018 hatchback GT with 13000 miles in March of 2021 as a CPO! I haven’t had any problems with my vehicle, it’s economical, its has enough power and the reliability it’s awesome, the interior it’s upscale and this particular model has a HUD which helps a lot! Couldn’t be happier with my vehicle! It’s my first Mazda and it won’t be my last! 🎉😊

The reliability is outstanding - so is the handling - braking is very good - comfort is very good - the only negative is there is some road noise but it's on par with it's competitors. You can drive this car for 10 years regardless of the mileage providing you maintain it .

For me (having owned this very same car for the past 3 years) one of it’s plus points is it’s handbrake in that it automatically switches off as you drive away. Simple thing but very satisfying.

We didn't get the 2.5l in the UK, only the 2.0l in 120 and 165hp outputs. Mazda was a little conservative with the truth on the output of the 120 which have been proven to put out nearer 140hp. Both these engines are easily remapped to about 180hp. I've had a Soul Red pre-facelift car for about 7 months now. The high spec models are known as sportnav's over here. I like the car a lot although I'm not sure I love it yet. What I do like is it's dependability and the way it drives, kind of like a 4 door Miata. They aren't a big seller over here so you don't see that many on the road compared to VW golfs and ford focus and I like that. Some on the owners groups say the gen3 is the best version of the Mazda3 with some gen4 owners trading back down again.

We own this vehicle in the same color in the GT trim. Ours is automatic. Great car! Even though the production date for ours did not make the cut for for a free retro fit of Apple Car Play and Android Auto, we called Mazda customer experience, and they agreed to split the cost with us. They paid for the parts, and we paid for the installation. Having this feature transforms the infotainment experience, which otherwise is not enjoyable, to say the least. We also own a 2020 in the premium trim. I find that the 2018 has a better, more compliant ride and handles road bumps a lot better, probably due to its multi-link rear suspension. Thanks for the review!

We haven’t used the native system since we had Apple CarPlay and Android Auto installed. And, overall, we’re not the type of drivers who are always fiddling with something; we’re not impressed by large screens and all those other distractions. Once we get in the car, we plug in our phones to use google maps or stream our music. That’s it.

Car awards are all very nice but they don't tell you what the car will be like to own, reliability, maintenance costs etc...Your model achieves maximum torque at 3250 rpm. I figured I'd buy the 4th gen when it comes out but seeing that it has an electronic handbrake and lost the (albeit glitchy) touchscreen, makes me want to reconsider and maybe look into the used market for that same '15/'16 before mid-cycle refresh if that's the only way I could find one with both traditional e-brake + touchscreen.

In North America, we only got one generation of the Mazda 2. So, it's a little hard to compare them today and even a 3rd gen 3. However, if you just want a little zippy car comparable to the Ford Fiesta, I would say the Mazda 2 is a good contender. In fact, one of my friends had one and he liked it quite a bit. I'm a little hesitant with the Kia Rio... They're "just ok" vehicles but they aren't very exciting in terms of style or driving. At the end of the day, I would suggest the Ford Fiesta and Mazda 2 or 3 (if you want a little more space).
