I agree. I love the Lexus RX.

Thats a very nice car indeed. Great engine sound, relaxing and premium, reliable, all very good.

When you're actually behind the wheel of one these, you get so much feeling of luxury and satisfaction that just can't be conveyed through video ... the video itself is not exciting, then again neither is the car, but it's positive attributes are grossly undercommunicated in this media form.

i can tell you after driving the 2010 model i opened the doors for a closer look because inside they are soo fucking quiet. I saw they have no less tahn 3 rows of rubber on the lower door side and 1 in the frame !! doors close like a safe , that´s for sure !!

On Mercedes all go Crazy that you cant notice gear changes but on Lexus all go Mad about CVT 🤔

I drive 2019 eclasse 200 petrol gearbox changing jerky and punchy its impossible to not feel changes

I tested an A35 and the transmission was awful. I could feel every change quite noticeably, it was jerky, sometimes not in the right gear. Awful.

These CVT style transmission only sound whiny and constant when you drive them like a sports car. If you drive them like a luxury car they do not sound like that and are smooth to drive but not perfect by any shot of the imagination.

Well said. I had a Subaru Outback and it was a great experience to drive it. Quick enough without flooring it (CVTs not designed for that anyway). Quiet, comfortable. Marvellous.

One of the best, if not the best, SUV interior.

Far from it. Not even in top 10. Just on top of my head BMW X5, X6, Audi Q5, Q7, Mercedes GLS, GLE, Range Rover Sport, Ranger Rover, Range Rover Velar, Porsche Macan, Cayenne, new VW Touareg, Volvo XC90, not to mention Bentley Bentayga, Rolls Cullinan. There's plenty of cars out there with far better interiors both in terms of design and quality.

is everyones 2016 on rx450h suspension noisy or is it me? when I go over bumps slightly fast you can feel it and when you go left or right turns you get alot of car sway? I mean you have to go really slow like a grandad. No matter what tho, I still love my RX450h with all the technology in there. Laminated front and rear windows with all the Extras and + safety systems is just super!

How does this model compare to the old one in terms of noise and ride quality?

my old one has airsuspension and its really nice on normal roads . On bumpy roads it isnt better than normal suspension . I think the actual model does not offer a air suspension anymore. Lexus is on the way backwards with all its models and developments,imho. All these small 4cyl Hybrids are saying me the company is saving money in everey aspect. My V6 is a dream and i think in a expensive Lexus there should be a V6 at minimum !

NVH is massively reduced compared to the older models - the reasons Lexus dont use air suspension on this particular model are simple - 1) they dont need to and 2) because the air suspension on previous models was ruining their reputation for reliability

Exactly, but also the most reliable throughout the vehicle life.Those speedy ones, check them after 2-4 years if they still work or emptied your pockets

2 planetary gears, not cvt. Automatic gearbox is not so efficient.

Gherman Godzin RX 450h has CVT (E-CVT to be exact) while the non hybrid version use sequential automatic. I drove the 2016 model and it sounds just as terrible as this video. Only newer hybrid such as LS and LC get the new gearbox

Gregorius Hermawan On official Webste is written e-cvt only for people to understand that it works an acts like cvt, has no shifting. It is totally DIFFERENT construction and has nothing common with cvt. Simple cvt does not live more than 150.000 miles, but for prius or rx is normally to see a 400.000 mi car with totally fine gearbox.
