I like what they've done with the redesign in the front but I still prefer the rear taillights/exposed exhaust tips on the 2016.

I agree! Also the only car in it's class I would buy cause of long term reliability. Edit: I bought a used 2017 IS200t F-sport (Gray exterior, Red interior) 15k miles with navigation back in September 2018 for only $27,500 (was around $45k new) & its been an incredible car so far especially for the price I paid for it.

I might buy one someday. I kind of want to upgrade to a luxury sports sedan with a few more features such as cooled seats & a better sounding audio system. I would go for the IS 350 F-Sport with the white exterior & the red leather. I'm 6ft & I fit fine in these cars. It's quite a bit more tight than my current 2015 Toyota Camry XSE V6, but it's roomy enough. I've owned a couple Toyota's, but would love to upgrade to a Lexus. My family has owned many Toyota's / Lexus' over the years & they've all been problem free.

@@LifeISMagix I actually just bought a used 2017 IS200t F-Sport last month with 15k miles for only $30,600 after taxes. Gray exterior with red leather. Gorgeous car! I originally said I wanted the 350, but the 200t costs quite a bit less & is more than powerful enough, plus I have my music on most of the time so I don't care as much about the engine sound.

@@Jlbernabe831 They’re fun cars for sure! I actually replaced mine a couple years ago with a white on red 2016 GS350 F-Sport mainly cause I needed to go back to a bigger car with more space. It surprisingly handles better than my IS did & the V6 is much better than the turbo 4.

I really like the IS but it's Way too tight inside. Now that the ES is based on the larger Avalon, Lexus needs something to fit between the ES and IS

duy tran The IS is a direct competitor to the BMW 3 series. It's geared towards younger buyers too and is not cramped like the IS. So I don't see what youth has to do with the size of the car. And what's with the name calling? Is this middle school?

  • @chairrules2007

I agree. The interior is a little tight in my opinion. Neither car is geared towards younger or older buyers alone; Lexus will gladly accept your monies no matter what your age. The ES stands for Executive Sedan (not family sedan). The IS (RWD or AWD) is designed to be a sportier sedan than the ES (which is FWD only).

How can you not have Apple Carplay and Android Auto in 2018? Apple/Google already designed the software, manufacturers literally just have to install it. It doesn't even cost them money to add

Fr 😂 and the interior as a whole is far behind the competition. No heads up display, no touch screen with a little mouse cursor thing to control the screen, that fake looking antique clock slapped on the center of the control panel lol. With all that said I’m still buying a used 2018 IS300 F-Sport next weekend and I couldn’t be happier. I’m upgrading from a base model 2009 camry so all those dated features will be the most advanced high tech interior relative to me 😂. I love my camry and it’s in mint condition still but it’s definitely time for an upgrade. Just like everyone else says, I have first hand experience of how ridiculously reliable Toyota/Lexus is so it was a no brainer to stay within the brand but with the nicer touches.

That's the fsport 2 The regular fsport1 doesn't even come with navigation. It's a 50k dollar car. It's a compact, i get it, but it's non practical. The acura tlx aspec beats it. Same price. I know... it's bigger so of course you have more room. Things to think about

Dealerships remove the knob so people won't steal them. The knock is typical of Toyota engines. But what's also typical of Toyota engines is reliability. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Please don't even compare a garbage BMW engineering to a Lexus. BMW is no where near the engineering excellence Lexus brings to the table. While I still will not take away that BMW rides way better. Where it really counts. BMW is garbage. BMW IS a pretty Chinese trincate. For the incredibly stupid. That means, LEASE, LEASE BMW. Like a Chinese trinket. When it tarnishes, throw it away. Apparently, the German company is ok with this reputation to keep you buying. Personally, i see right through you, the company not the narrator. While, I make a good living. I am not an idiot and prefer to spend my money on my $10,000 vacations, not $1,000's every other month. Yes, that's hos bad BMW is. Count the number of BMW's while you drive any American block. You still find none older than 5 years old. Yes, straight to the JUNK YARD! Incredible right?
