2018 Lexus ES 350 review- last pure luxury sedan?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I review the 2018 / 2017 Lexus ES350, to see if the Lexus ES 350 is the last pure luxury sedan left.

probably said before...for the thousandth's time...its NOT build on the Camry platform anymore...hasnt been since the 2012 model year. it is NOW build on the Avalon platform...and there are a ton of other vids comparing them because of it.

Had one of these years ago, always been in an interesting place, especially with the IS. I wonder if it'll stick around past this gen.

Ya it was a neat car. And having seen the new Avalon @ the DFW Auto show am super stoked for the redesign!!

How did you like the new redesign? I just got this car but also have a 06 Lexus is 250. They both have the least expensive audio options but the is 250 sounds about twice as good to me it has more power even an amp in the trunk. Otherwise this car seems to be more luxury and less sporty but thats intended. This car has a softer suspension so rides smoother but doesn't coner as well the IS 250 is awesome on the turns. This car has 268hp I believe and the IS 250 is 205hp.

I’ve leased 2 Lexuses in the past. As quiet and comfy as they are, NVH has always been the downside. There is vibration/rattle noises in the cabin.

Thanks for the feedback, I know Toyota always very much excels in NVH. As have other Lexuses I reviewed (GS, RC, LS, etc). What you're talking about may explain the transmission on this one.

Would you get a brand new Camry SE, 4 cylinder, or a CPO 2018 Lexus ES 350 with 47k miles, $32,500 out the door?

Unless it has autopilot maybe consider at least one hand on the wheel.

Mickey V!!! It was a nice car. I like to rev it to give viewers an idea of sound. Also, these are corporate press cars, so you’re not beating on a viewer or dealer car someone will buy as a new car.

Thank you! Thinking about making a switch from 2013 GS to an ES. Do not want to feel the road and every bump.

Can say as a GS owner the ES is far more comfortable and smooth than the GS. Take it around a curve though and there's way more body roll and less control than the GS

Hey there. Ulta luxury does have bi-LED headlights in it, at least on the current model. Having had them in a few cars tho, they're really nice- just not sure they're that much better than Xenons.

You don't need to specify it with bi-LED headlights, because the xenon projector headlights are good enough according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. In fact, the Bi-LED performed worse than the standard headlights. www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings/vehicle/v/lexus/es-350-4-door-sedan/2018

I would say the Sport Camry is more fun to drive. In the Camry Luxury (L) trim, the ES350 is more isolated if you drive them back to back, but both are super comfortable.

The Western Lies Debunker my Camry is a great car, it drives wayyyyy softer than a Honda. It is nothing like riding in a Lexus.
