I have this exact model and it gets beat, from haul feed for the cows to hunting elk and deer in SENM I have 460 hours and 2800 mile and have replaced the belt 1 time and it was still good. It runs through rocks and mud it is definitely not a speed demon but top speed is roughly 42mph. It gets amazing fuel mileage I get about 170-190 miles out of the tank. My 2015 rzr xp4 1000 gets about 120 miles per tank but of course it has a 1000cc instead of 812cc. If you use your machines they all will have issues at some point but if you do the recommended maintenance it will last forever.

I love all your videos man you do such a great thorough job! Can you please do a review on the Kawasaki Mule Pro-FXT? It's really a very unique SXS in that it has the capability to transform from a 6 seater to a 3 seater with a full size bed so that it retains a reasonable lenght. I think it's very trail capable while still being able to put in a days work and may be something lots of people would be interested in!! Thanks!

Yessir that is a good review,...I agree on the weird idea of no front storage bin,..really Kawasaki? I noticed that the front axle has what appears to have a 'no-slip' diff.that's a good idea as is the lockable read diff. That would be a bonus for driving on your lawn,...no grass tear up when turning. The bed has segmented walls on three sides ?? What's the use of segmented back wall,..there's no way to use divider's front to back as the tail gate has nothing!. But, that too is good as nothing will hang up in those groves when dumping. Speaking of the bed,...I agree too that the steel bed floor will need a plastic or rubber liner,..or it's going to look like a rusty and dented old anchor very soon. As it is NOT a trail/speed rider makes it a decent little 'truck' for running around the farm, or where ever. If we need a trail runner, then we would have to go to CanAm/ Polaris/ Yamaha etc. for those.

Good job on the review... I'm in the early stages of research on these units in both models, 2 door & crew cab... The engine is Chinese, but what isn't in today's times, sadly? I'm still researching the long term reliability on this engine as well as the CVT on these units... I'm not sure about the ground clearance on these rigs either, they appear a bit on the low side & the tires themselves look a bit smallish to me... I agree, the doors are flimsy with incorrectly mounted door handles on the outside. The short WB makes for tighter maneuvering but sacrifices riding comfort. I live in extremely steep terrain & backing up with a loaded trailer is a serious consideration for me with respect to CONTROL & on that score, there is a SAFETY concern with these side X sides... Bill on the Hill... Vermont, USA... :~)

William Farr The engine is very reliable. Same engine in the John Deere gator and others. CVT is reliable and is a proven design. Ground clearance is not great, but for a work machine that you can have some fun with on trails, it’s perfectly fine. The Mule is not a sport machine.

If the engine is a gasoline 3-cyl 800cc (812cc) or a 4-cyl 1100cc (1083cc), then it's most likely the Chery engine. Chery engines are used in a few "brand name" SxS along with several off-brand SxS. That engine brand is relatively common in Asia (of course) along with Africa and South America. The John Deere 825i uses the 800cc engine. The Kawasaki Mule Pro FX uses the 800cc engine.

@@gsfbffxpdhhdf7043 So, taking off the Chery valve cover and putting on one that says Kawasaki makes it a Kawasaki engine? Do your research. It has the same specs (bore, stroke, etc) as Chery engine.

No front diff locker. Not good just that alone is a no sale. As soon as u get in a rough spot and that one front wheel comes off the ground u will immediately only have 2 wheel drive. I have a message for all manufacturers of UTVs and ATVs STOP LEAVING THE FRONT DIFFERENTAL OPEN DAMN IT.

@@gsfbffxpdhhdf7043 I had a 2016 6 person. Less than a year had a rear shock brake, seat belt buckles all rusted, you can't get to the oil filter, the 820 motor dosent have enough power for heavy hauling. Brakes were terrible in the cold, it would not stop while plowing. Mine had a full cab which was very cheap and did not keep weather out.
