You guys are probably feeling the difference of the Q50 traditional rack and pinion steering vs the Q60 with the Direct Adaptive Steering which feels a little video gamey and takes a little while to get used to. The 60 just looks so much better and the coupe is definitely my favorite. Plus the 60 is RWD which makes it a little more skittish but actually more fun to drive in my opinion.

The Q50 sounded like it was maybe equipped with the optional performance exhaust and the Q60 sounded like the standard exhaust.

Super excited to begin this and finished it with a BIG SMILE. Great duo - bring Julio back! I have a 2013 G37x (AWD). In my model year and prior, the G drove like a RWD and the AWD (if available) would kick in when needed. It's nice to have RWD feel on the AWD models. When I drive spirited, I can get a little tail happy but it quickly corrects itself since I have a AWD model. Nice feature though, to have it kick on only when needed. Thanks for the video Hector!!

It’s because its stiffer that you think it didn’t handle or ride as well as the q50

The reason why you probably felt the drive for both cars were different was probably because the q60 was rwd while the q50 was awd. AWD cars have more traction on the ground which helped contribute to the torque feeling.

Infinti’s intelligent AWD. It will only activate if the rwd tires loses grip. So it’s RWD unless the car loses grip.

It's rare to get a Q50/Q60 AWD down south, unless you custom order it. Same thing if you want a RWD up north. I had a co-worker who wanted a RWD in NYC, but had to special order it because of the rarity behind it. Ended up getting the AWD instead because he needed the car ASAP

AYE GUYS HELP NEEDED IN DECIDING ON BUYING THE Q50 OR THE Q60 PLEASE HELP. Im going to buy an Infinti for sure either that or a S63 AMG benz buy yhat might be a little too spendy for me right now the AMG is anywhere from $70k to 125k n the imfinti brand new i can get for around 33k to 35k so i might hold off on the AMG which brings me too decied between the Q50-Q60. So mu thoughts r to to have a daily sleeper with in take exgust possibly a turbo lowered rims pushing idk 500HP since the 2020 Q50 Red Sport comes with 400hp stock already with 4.5sec 0 to 60 time for $42k .So with 500hp if ever needed i'll at least have some balls/power to smash it. So with that being said which one would be the better opition for this build. Please help me out n leave a coment n let me know which one too buy Q50 or Q60? I've got 5 days left going to pick one up on Saturday. thanks cant wait to see what people comment n lean more towards.

You should do a review of the exhaust note in the cabin with the artificial filter off. Tutorials all over KZread.

which is faster the q60 or the q50

Hold the navigation button to cut the screen off. If you buy one you can learn how to use it

This is the second comparison where it was said the Q50s RS400 felt faster and handled slightly better than the Q60s RS400. It's probably because the Q50s is a little lighter in weight than the Q60s, plus the 19" wheels on the Q50s are lighter than the 20" wheels of the Q60s. The lighter weight of the car and especially in the wheels would improve acceleration, braking and handling. Just my guess as to why this is.

those were both RWD. AWD stands a little higher than RWD and would have come with "AWD" badge if it were. Plus, Q50 AWD is pretty rare in the south just as RWD version is in north/northeast.

EK Pogi I don't think the AWD and rwd suspensions differ on the red sport. And I don't recall them having an AWD badge either on the red sport

I own a RWD red sport and did a good comparison between the two before buying. You can visual compare thru other KZread channels who already did the review (redline, alex on autos, etc.) or check out InfinitiQ50.org forum. I can also tell you that even the engine oil filter is relocated to the front for AWD model.

I only want a 2016 Q50. ONLY because of the magnesium paddle shifters I hate how companies are going cheap with the whole plastic wheel mounted garbage.

The paddles on 2018 Q50 is not plastic, they are still magnesium but it’s on the wheel instead of the column. Q60 got the small plastic paddle.

Ken W good to know still I hate wheel mounted paddles. I drive a 2007 Sport sedan column mounted is great when you’re turning because they have a nice size that gives you a great “hand placement range” where as the wheel mounted you can on have you hand in one spot really.

The 2014-2015 models come with the same exact paddle shifters, which are also the same as the early GTR models and Q35/37 shifters.

LOL going around a turn "lack of confidence?" That's because it's supposed to be that way to kick out the tail when it's a RWD. Both cars are literally exactly the same drive trainwise and setup. LOL.

so did u ever end up buying the q60? just asking cause im actully looking at buying either thw Q50 or the Q60 havent decided on which one thought u might have something too add that i havnt thought off yet since u might actully own one itd be hella dope if you could reply itd relly help me out in making my decison. So far im some what leaning trowards the Q50 but taking in all saggestions at the moment

The q60 is twice the price

Drove it, was disappointed in the lack of sporting feel. Felt about the same as a regular Q60 3.0. The red sport should be a more serious package. Think Audi S5 or Cadillac ATS-V. Instead they delivered something closer to the Lincoln MKZ 3.0T with the drivers package. Take the Red Sport up a notch Nissan
