Hey men awesome van. I was wondering why Honda has taken out the blind spot camera on the late models such as 2017 crv and 2018 Odyssey. My parents own a 2014 odyssey exl with this camera that has been helpful when i drive it, which pretty much has been pretty much the same until 2016 odyssey.

One of the problems I had with my old (2000) Odyssey was the lack of an easy-to-clean surface on the back of the seats. This makes that part of the car a magnet for the dirt and grime from the kids' shoes as they love putting up their feet to the back of the seat in front of them. Does the 2018 Odyssey have an easy-to-clean plastic surface on the back of each of the seats? Also, RE: Cabin View: Is there also a camera that will show the driver the cargo area? Are many important features like the cabin view button and navigation destination entry by hand disabled when the car is in motion?

Sold our 2006 Odyssey with 292k miles, and bought a 2015 Odyssey EX-L with 3k miles in June 2016. We now have 33k miles on it! Great car, nothing else I would drive across country. Please let Honda put a diesel and AWD, that would be awesome.

I am the owner and former owner of 14 Hondas and Acuras (2 Acuras). I started with a new '83 prelude. I have in the past expressed my disappointment to Honda regarding their exterior design with a letter and subsequent telephone conversation with their customer service (they called me in response to my letter) regarding the 2007/2008 redesign of the Accord. I had hopes from looking at spy photos that the Odyssey would drop the "lightning bolt" side window design for 2017/2018, but alas, there it is. The sheet metal on the sides even feature a criss-crossing of creases in the sheet metal and a sharp drop in in the upper crease pointing downward. Truly, Honda is following the path of artistic expression in having had their renaissance and having progressed to the excessive ornamentation of the baroque and rococo. My 1997, first generation Odyssey and the following generation of Odyssey were the Odyssey Renaissance-also take a look at the latest Toyota Sienna.

New Subscriber. Awesome review with Derek and Derek from Honda R&D. Do you or anyone know if it is possible to 8 seats with all of the other comfort features of the Top Model Honda Pilot. Usually the Top End models of vehicles these days have all the usual awesome features but only come with those stupid Captains Chairs. To me it seems like infotainment system was an afterthought. It seems like an aftermarket system that was added after the fact. It doesn't seem integrated visually into the rest of the dash.

Can you start the van from the phone remotely?

Have they returned to the automatic windshield wipers. That is my biggest disappointment when I went from my MDX to the Odyssey; I miss my auto windshield wipers.

How about whreelchair access for a driver???

Where are the 2nd row AC vents? They have been removed from the roof, but I can't see them anywhere else in the video. I know where the 3rd row vents were placed.

My older Odyssey's both had transmission problems. This was an ongoing problem with many years and models including Acura MDX, Acura TLs etc... Basically anything with a v6 had a chance of transmission problems. Extremely expensive repairs.

Mine too, I have a 2013 Odyssey Elite and transmission started going bad at 36,000 miles. I watched this and was really impressed by the exterior and interior but I don't trust Honda transmission. I'm thinking of trading my Odyssey for a Toyota Sienna.

Does this new Odyssey have Wi-Fi too?
