In 2018 models, Honda decided to disable the browser app as people were by-passing them on earlier models which can cause the driver to be distracted. A lot of people were saying that they deleted the app completely but its hidden in the "secret" menu, which needs to be done every time you reset the car/unit.

emmanuel hernandez it worked for me too but for some reason it disappeared when I turned off my car and restarted it.

Mines works I just have to hold the browser app icon for 1.5 second before the option of moving/trash pops up. 2018 Si. Yes it's been on/off for a week now.

Jonah Gray not that hack just the internet app since I use it for KZread. I was thinking of finding a 2017 headunit to see if the navigation works....
Is phone + power button + brightness button for the 2019+ units

I’m sure there’s a way but I wouldn’t know how myself. There are “hacks” for the Honda Navi system out there, I’m sure.

How get my passcode
Tried this with the latest firmware on a 2018 Civic EX. It works but everything is reset after the car is turned off. Is there any way to make it stay? Frustrating that this was a selling point at this trim level and Honda has restricted the hell out of it.

@@rafac8732 heading in for my first maintenance soon. I may actually uninstall and factory reset, as the built in Android system is so dated and slow that it's really not practical to use any apps. The custom settings were not really much use to me. I actually installed it hoping that it would restore my next turn indicator on the dash. Apparently my phone's charging port was corrupt, for whatever reason it worked with Waze but not Maps on Android. Refurbished phone took care of that.

Update - my car started going nuts on me, I blame Honda Hack it was gradually beginning to have issues after installing. I did a factory reset *twice* trying to remove it, the second time the display booted up just like an Android tablet - new device setup, nothing Honda related. I almost had a heart attack. Finally fixed that, the car is forever rooted - a dealer can see that. I emailed the developer multiple times, detailed emails, with replies like "that shouldn't happen." No shit! Avoid!!
