I had a 95 Vulcan for a month as my first 2wheel bike before trading up for the Fatbob 107 and I can honestly say it is completely manageable for a beginner to ride. It's got plenty of power but it's delivered smooth enough that it won't throw you off.

I’m 67 & my 114 FB is the best handlin & power stock Harley I’ve owned before adding performance mods out of 9 including Sportys, baggers - 2018 RGS Stage 4, Strokers & a few others. I’ve now added a Stage 2 Power Cam, D&D Bob Cats & a Dyno Jet TT & PV. Enjoyed your vid.😉👍

Yep I'm a fan of the more aggressive seating on motorcycles also a lot more fun to ride like that when going into turns makes them more nimble. Nice review

I upgraded to this from a 2015 lowrider! It handles insanely well stock haha

Bought this as my first bike. Same exact bike, vivid black 107. Love it! Monoshock is a dream. My favorite part is the clutch is smooth as silk!

Wasn't it too much, or too intimidating as a first bike? I'm also considering it as a first bike??

When I stepped into the Harley Davidson dealership I was automatically attracted to the Fat Bob. I sat on the Iron 883, the 48 Sportster and I felt uncomfortable. However, when I sat on the 2018 Fat Bob I felt completely comfortable and I fell in love with it. As a first bike/last bike I would definitely purchase it. I am currently looking into purchasing it; you definitely have to respect the bike and it's power and you will receive the respect back. Almost building a relationship that allows both you and the bike itself an understanding. It's weird.

You can include me in the group that has test ridden the bike and loved it. It was a tough decision for me between the 2017 FXDLS and the 2018 Fat Bob. My only complaint on the 18 Fat Bob was the rear break, having to push awkwardly forward, exactly what you noticed. I opted for the FXDLS with the thought that I could get the Soft Tail Fat Bob at a later date as the FXDLS was limited and discontinued.

Looked at this bike a couple days ago, definitely badass. Keep up the good work!

I own a 107 and test rode the 114. I could not feel any difference so i opted for the 107... 3k cheaper in Australia. But what a great bike to ride. Good review.

I grabbed a 114 in Scorched Orange 🔥🍊 n plan to opt up the motor over time... 107 seamed great too ✌🏽.

Bought it a week ago.. waiting for stage 1 tune and cobra exhausts and filter... cant wait to hop on a go... my first Harley.. well in my price range.. pickEd up a steal of a deal for 107... can't freaking wait

Here in NZ you can currently pick up the 114 for the price of the 107 .... oh!

Bought a 2019 FB 114 back in May.. Ex sport bike rider here.. FB best of both worlds

I dig it. Would love to cruise up the mountains here in Colorado with it. But I bet the 114 would really be fun.

Brake can be adjusted, water on your back! Who cares... This bike is on rails, be it sweepers or straight aways is Rock solid with power to match! I'm 5"8 and it fits like a glove, roll on is excellent and very flickable. The heat has not been an issue after 3800 miles. Lot s of power and weight is a non issue! 58yrs old and love the styling! Picked up the HD luggage(1-weekend bag and one day bag for $299nd set) and backrest and rack l. Time for these computer whiners to ride this bike. Night and day difference between the 18 and a Dyna! .......Ride hard or stay home😎 great

GREAT Review! Only think I dont like about the FatBob is the headlight. I am so wanting a Breakout or a FatBob its redonkulous...

I'm glad you mentioned the foot brake, I had the same thing...... It's to low and needs to be raised. I enjoyed the bike, but like my 2015 Fat Bob better, because it still feels like a Harley. The 18 Fat Bob just felt flat to me and lacked "personality" but it did have stock pipes, so better pipes probably would transform it?. The forward controls on the 18 FB was shorter compared to my 15 FB, I enjoy the longer reach (i'm not tall by the way). The 18 FB had great acceleration, smooth gears and silky suspension/ride. Nice review dude 👍

I Road it and loved it I just wish that the front end was just a little bit longer and not so much of a straight drop

Justin, I'm looking at getting my first bike, I'm now 57 and learned how to "drive" a motorcycle 30 years ago. I'm 5'9" and a "bulldog" built 315lbs. I'm having to strongly consider the H-D Heritage. I'd like to stay with the 107ci(1746cc) motor, if I can help it, for my first bike. It would a solo rider's bike to start, yes- me only! Great job on the internet channel video! Here in 2022. Steven Cruz I choose FatBob because I’m in and out of traffic, using it around town, banging out twisty rides on weekends n I like the thugy modern look. I also come from sport riding world. The FayBoy looks sick n amazing, however I need more activity in my ride at this time in my life and not as much cruising for today. I think the FatBoy is a lil more in the direction towards cruising. FYI I’m around SF Cali area n due like the bad ass informal look. Hope that helps you make your best choice 👍🏽

Keith JJ Well the best comes from my kitchen. However, Rudy's has good BBQ for a chain. Bill Millers is garbage. I personally haven't found inspiring BBQ in San Antonio. Salt Lick BBQ is great, but it's a drive.

I will never ride a bike with the license place sticking out the side. I have also seen dudes ride bike with no turn signals or tail light. All that stuff is not safe.
