I had the same issue. A "hump" in the same area as you described in this video. I was able to purchase one and replaced it myself; what a bear for one person to install in my situation, but I was able to install it with no unsightly gaps along the top edge.

On the second change when I got the bike back the wings were loose. Figured the mechanic didn't tighten the screws. Come to find out when he swapped out the rubber squeeze nuts he installed them backwards... I hate having anyone work on my vehicles...

I, too, had to swap the plastic strips and "squeeze nuts."

Do you have a video on your installation of the replacement speakers? I have a 2019 Goldwing Tour and want to change out factory speakers. Show Chromes sells 4 1/2 inch speakers but you said you fit 5 1/2 or 5 1/4 inch speakers I would prefer those. If you could give a step by step on how you did it and what if any extras you need to complete the install. Thanks.

I’ll see what I can come up with. I have pictures of what I did and can try to make it into a video. The shelter has to come off for one bolt that holds the speaker box in...

@@tjernagel That would be great! Thanks! I just got my bike back from Honda (4K service). They tried to return my bike to me with the windscreen scratched. They also should have watched your video on putting the cover back on. They scratched it up exactly where you said it would! I will never let them touch my bike again!

The original damage on mine was from a shipping strap when it was new. Maybe the same strap got yours.
