Indeed! I've also been checking it out for a while. I bought a "Ducati Scrambler 1100 Special -18" just a few days ago ;) Now I'm trying to figure out if I should buy an Arrow or Akrapovic exahust system, and if it even does any big difference.

All Evotech items are excellent quality, the tail tidy especially. I had an R&G initially and despite being nearly the same price as the Evotech, the quality of the R&G was subpar.

The engine itself makes perfect sense (torque everywhere), but the way they went about doing the bike as a whole was wrong in my opinion. They added a bunch of unnecessary weight and complexity to it.

@@WilliamStewart1 yep that’s on point, I wish it was lighter and the abs should be switchable on/off, it’s a perfect everyday bike just don’t take it off road and if you do it has to be like a trail or something like that

@@NudaMan I’m not sure off road is the point for most scramblers these days besides the desert sled and the Triumph XE. I test rode the 1100 Special and 800 Icon back to back. The 800 is definitely lighter (37lbs) but the 1100 is by no means heavy feeling. At the end of the day I fell in love with the character and comfort and sound of the 1100 and took it home that day. If it’s trails I want I take out the WR250R. That said the 1100 is still a blast on some back country dirt roads and stuff like that. So you’re not wrong, but it is one of my favorite bikes to ride that I’ve owned.

Doesn't the bike need a remap after that? i read that they run lean after exhaust change! How did you remapped yours? Thanks

Hello, thanks for your interest. I installed both the Arrow Mid Pipe and the exhaust pipes. The Mid Pipe deleted the catalyst completely and the exhaust servo valve contained inside of the stock pipe. I also removed the full exhaust servo motor, cables, etc under the seat. To negate the error code from the ECU, I installed the Healtech Exhaust Servo Eliminator. I also plan to remove the db killers very soon and will do another video with them out. With the ECU reflash, the new pipes and mid pipe, the bike runs much cooler and pulls a lot harder. Highly recommend these modifications for the 1100.

Yes, with db killers in. Will remove soon. Have to cut some mild welding on them and pop them out.
