I swore my whole life that I would NEVER buy a mini-van, and I’m old enough to remember the first generation Dodge Caravan/Plymouth Voyager. Well, that changed in 2006 when I bought a 2005 Dodge GC. We drove that until 2018 with nothing but standard maintenance. I looked around at SUVs of all makes and sizes, and ended up buying a 2018 Dodge GC GT last year. For practicality and price, you really can’t beat them when you travel with kids, dogs, and all the stuff everyone brings along- and still have room to spare! Certainly not flashy, and maybe “lame” and “boring” to most people, but comfort is more important to me than impressing anyone.

Let me tell you, this comment hit close for me😅 my old man had a GC and I always loved the amount of space it had when I would be in the back with all my siblings but I swore I would never actually want one. 10 years later with a kid and a big ass dog & my sedan just doesn’t cut it. Im shopping for one as we speak now 😅 and im also starting to like things I never used to care about, like the way you can double click the button and the doors pop open. Or the little mirror that pops down so you can see whats going on in the car behind you 😅 crazy how your mindset changes with age

For real though. Those older caravans were built different. My family had 2007, and aside from standard run-of-the-mill maintenance that thing was built like a tank and never let us down.

I wish they still made the Dodge Grand Caravan.

Too bad these aren't being made anymore. Best value for moving 7 people and a bunch of stuff. I bought a 2013 SXT and got a really good price on it. Looking into a more upgraded version. But, there isn't enough to warrant a trade. The GT is nice, but my SXT is very well equipped. I love mine. Sad to know in 10 years I will not be able to get another...

What's the difference between the gt and sxt?

GT has heated seats and steering wheel. Also the suspension is modified on the GT trim.

@@dngl21 Are there different options for strut assemblies for the rear to compensate for weight when pulling small trailers or having a loaded hitch 2 to 3 bicycles?

I don’t like how the wheels are bigger than normal
