I currently have a 22 bison diesel 4x4 and get 25 city mpg and 30-35 highway mpg great truck
I would love for you to include a driving impressions section in these reviews! Often it seems they are put in final thoughts if there are any but that is what I come to see every time!
It's expected from most people that GM will put the 2.7 turbocharged inline 4 petrol engine from the Silverado in the next Colorado to replace both the 3.6 V6 and the "Duramax" diesel engines, and that they'll replace all the currently available transmissions with the 10 speed from that model. Power wise, that should beat the current and maybe even upcoming competition, including the regular Ford Ranger (not the Raptor), and should make the Colorado a better truck.

A month after the original comment. It has been confirmed that the 2023 Colorado will only get the 2.7 turbo in three different stages of tune. However the 8 speed from the current generation was updated for the new one. GM calls it their "second generation" of the 8 speed transmission.

I love these newer midsize trucks but the prices are just too high for me to afford one. My budget is for used trucks from 2010 and older
Such a cool truck
This version of the truck reminds me of the Halo Warthog a little bit.
Cool looking truck, GM knew their customers want brodozers. I like the high clearance bumpers. I've heard that these do well off road, they should with double lockers. GM has done the back-only heated seat option at least since the GMT800 trucks. It's a weird choice but every GM car has WTF were they thinking "features". If only the quality was better. GM loves cheap hard plastic and thin leather put together cheaply. It's also a bad time for diesel prices.
Two things: 1) You do great reviews, thank you, but this was more of a walk-around. You did not drive it, that's what I was hoping to get. The combination of ZR2 suspension and the diesel is special; a drive would have been great to see. and 2) Automakers and magazines sell/talk horsepower, people drive torque and with a diesel, torque is what matters. It would have been great for you to share the torque number like you did for hP.

So cool
Hey the 2.3l lima engine is a ford design buy ford and mazda was a great relationship cuz you get japanese reliability of a lot of vehicles. the transmission in my 1994 f-150 was made by Mazda and it works just like new! this truck reminds me of the old v8powered dodge Dakotas.they were midsized trucks instead of compact trucks. its like the nissan titan diesel.

Why? And I will block anyone who ever dares try to pronounce diesel as die-zull instead of die-suhl. So just a friendly reminder, if you pronounce it die-zull instead of die-suhl, then we can't be friends.

This guy clearly doesn't know anything. A gas f150 can't tow a boat or car with ease. Straight delusional. But the colorado pumches up? Which is a 1/2 ton weight class
The diesel is so poopy. Everyone on the forums has been exchanging them for gas because of the gas mileage being only 1 more than gas, and having waaaaay less HP

I am very happy that Zack pronounced Diesel Die-Suhl unlike how most people pronounce Diesel Die-zull (When I hear people pronounce diesel as die-zull, I get VERY ANGRY when people pronounce it that way), but anyway, these Duramaxes are very efficient.
