Is this what they call GOING OVER BOARD? Nice boat I LOVE MERCURY engines I got one she a 38 footer with a 350 Chevy / where i can haul her around

I see the marina is still recovering from Irma. I checked one out at a local dealer. $750K + options. Ouch! Better be a great negotiator. According to the narrator you can fit 10 people down in that little cabin. Lol. The bigger issue is the inefficiency of those motors on such a large, heavy boat. At cruise speed it sucks down 50+ gallons an hour. Open it up and your looking at 100 gallons per hour. For comparison, the new 39' Tiara Coup burns 26 gallons per hour at cruise and is a heavier boat. It also has highly efficient diesels. A 3 hour run on this Whaler will cost you over $500 at cruise. And $500 back to the dock. Not to mention the upkeep....and depreciation. Selling it 5 years later you will be lucky to fetch $450k. You have to really want it and are prepared to pay for one of the worst investments of your life. But then again, you only live once and you can't put a price tag on 'fun', right?

I would've liked to see triple 557s from Seven marine.

Do the fish boxes have macerated pump outs?

I'll never understand how a boat that beautiful and expensive can be tied up like that., the line between the motors, no spring lines, C'mon guys...

I`ll bet those outboards at 50 mph are really gulping fuel. On the other hand think of the fun!

Havnt checked um but sure this boats all over a mill. If not tad over. Whalers dont come cheap and its heavy as a battleship. In a good kinda way.

Question - What happens if four engines cut out? Is there a back up?

Stop by your local MarineMax to hear the Verado outboards in person. They are extremely quiet compared to past outboards, you will be very surprised.

1,400hp At least $200,000 in engines alone. Can't go 50mph. People still fork out the money.

It’s not all about speed though. It’s about control, having power for anything onboard, maybe if you need to give someone an emergency tow. More engines is better for docking, and if one engine dies off shore you will be perfectly capable of heading in comfortably.

Cars,boats,homes,...milk and bread all getting ridiculous....no way its going to continue

We allow our customers to outfit their 420 Outrage in any electronic configuration they would like. Many of our listings come without electronics for this very reason. Think of it as a "blank tech canvas!"

That's exactly it. There are 40yo BWs still running around, Montauk 17'. If you can get any other Center console to last 30 years, you'd still be ahead of the game. They're bulletproof. Not the engines, but the hull is. It's still gotta be over a million dollars. Hell, a 2016 is going for $799,999. Too expensive anymore, prices regular folks out of boating.
