Hi +Bobby Ang M Sport model do get Sport + mode on the 530i M Sport

It's a very nice car to drive. Feels like driving a car rather than an SUV, but you get commanding view of the road. Smooth engine, quick shifting gearbox that can pretty much stay in the right gear most of the time. It's quiet too, with a very comfortable suspension (almost Japanese car soft rather than German stiff) and unintrusive start/stop. But I think maybe BMW Malaysia should sell a higher spec model with all the safety gadgets (auto braking, lane departure, etc), M Sport kit, in addition to this "base" luxury line model. Or just bring in the M40i.

Why BMWs in Malaysia are not fitted with lumbar support?

@Bobby Ang, I think there should be a dummy guide for BMW owners. The LED headlamps are worst where it shines too bright (too high) for other drivers. There should be automatically adjusted lower or at least adjusted lower. This is worst ever LED headlamps that does not care about other drivers.

Hi Bobby, yesterday I test drive the X3 in johor. The ride and handling was very comfort but when I speed up to 120kmh I start to hear the wind noise. In terms of value, safety and futuristic the XC60 still top in this segment.

Xc60 t5 or t8?

How about safety kits??? Volvo XC60 would be better choice if the buyer excluded “driving dynamic”. To be honest most drivers won’t push hard or even sensitive to notice the driving dynamics. To the majority 70% buyers first criteria 1) the design must be appeal 2) the overall package is convince to buy 3) the gadgets that can be “play” around. As Bobby just mentioned, BMW is careful with their design, unlike Mercedes or Volvo. But that’s the taste of the buyers now, they want refresh look, and with price tag of over RM300K but if” almost” identical then might put off potential buyers. Take example of the latest 5 series, if from far it is a bit hard to distinguish the old F10 with the current model. Japanese automakers practice of new design every 2 generation in order to give a NEW taste for customers. Anyway good review Mr. Bobby 👍🏼

It's a good enough SUV. But really can't be compared to the XC60. From power, interior equipment, finishing, safety kits, everything. The XC60 really doesn't have competition now.

chiam sian pei, i was informed by bmw butterworth that they were applying for relief from the govt. That would bring the price to RM299,800. I suspect thats why they stated in their brochure as "ESTIMATED PRICE RM320,000-00". Less GST 6% = RM281Kish. If you professional, less 8% = RM259K. If u buy fr Ingress Puchong, lagi potong 5k. Ok what 😁😁

Quieter than both the XC60 and GLC, but I think GLC. Yeah more spacious too.

Apart from better sound proofing and greater power and interior build, not much ahead in terms of specs. Xc60 still outclasses both on specs and power

Kokfoo Ng which you can’t afford. Insurance cost varies (eg age, experience, NCB). Must be a newbie if you have to ask which implies “you can’t afford”.

For a 320k car but no automatic tilting adjustment for the steering wheel? Thats a joke

Audi's 2.0 has always been 252hp. Volvo's T5 is 254hp and T6 is 320hp. Merc's GLC300 engine is 245hp.

Sheesh,, Malaysia gets the same granny looking rims like Indonesia. Really spoils the sporty look...

I understand, but I don't think we have any other line to choose from here in Indonesia - we'll see if they give us a choice later on. On the other hand, its rival the GLC 200 here also has nasty looking wheels... Malaysia gets the 30i, these rims are much better imo kzread.info/dash/bejne/aZ-B15eFqq-cqMY.html

If die die have to choose one between this X3 and XC60 T5 (not the T8 because I live in a condo), which would you choose?

Get the T8, i stay in a condo as well. It's worth it. The car can be used without an active charging source.

So in other words, youre saying its okay to go say 2 weeks without charging your phev car, if you travel about 50km a day? Whats the point of the phev then?

Don't be a joke, I have cx5 and x5, even a 3series suspension are better than cx5... Wtf u compare a 150k suv with a premium brand suv.. Just be because you can't afford and find a reason to convince your self that 100k car are better than 300k vehicle.
