I've not been an Army for that long but I've read about the company's struggles and the thing that they were once collaborating with JYPE, and that they were once nearly closed down. The company made huge success. Both BTS and BigHit needed each other. It feels good to see them succeed

Been an army since 2013 and I’m honestly so proud.

I dont Think that bighit Will ever accept Girls. Its not only about GLAM failure. Its Also about BTS fandom. Like Think about it. So many Crazy and probably untalented girls would meet up just to you know. And if they get in then they would probably request that they should train where bts trained. Ect. Idk if it makes sense to you, its hard to explain lol.

I think to address the issue on no females, here’s my basis of argument that is not entirely true (come on this is the internet) 1. I saw somewhere that bighit have rejected female trainees because the last time they allowed it, many of them were wasting bighit’s time to effectively chose the trainees as most of them that appeared only had the intentions to join because BTS is in the company. 2. I feel partly why they disallowed females is because they don’t want any unnecessary rumours to spark (especially from the fools in this fandom) since BTS is at their peak now, they wouldn’t want any distractions. 3. Even if they were to open this to females, they are risking the chance on the basis that they accept a sasaeng, and that’s where the problem starts. They would have to deal with not only us, the media, but BTS’s safety as well. 4. I’m not implying explicitly that only females are capable of this, Nor I’m forcing my views on you, if you feel offended I apologise, but please do not twist my words and make it offensive.

BTS equals seven yes, IT IS normal for companies to have female groups, but I think you’re missing my point here. I’m not saying that is is abnormal to have females in bighit, but with all these considerations to take, like oh will fans get jealous, will rumours suffice, will there be any scandals, are we going to lose fans etc etc, what good does it do for the company? But then again, yeh, that’s your view, so I’m going to respect it ✌🏻

For anyone who's panicking, please read this: 1. BTS is NOT disbanding and they are NOT looking for a new member. This video is for Big Hit, the company representing BTS, who are now ready to look for new trainees. 2. Thanks to BTS's success, Big Hit is now ready to start developing new bands and artists. They were a much smaller company when they started (compared to SM, YG, etc.) but all of the big companies have multiple top-tier bands, so this is quite common. Now that Big Hit is a key player and BTS are a well-established band that probably doesn't need as much support and PR work anymore, Big Hit can focus on introducing some new talent. 3. This doesn't mean BTS will suffer. BTS are one of the two hottest bands in kpop right now, breaking records, etc. They're doing great and would continue to do so. Everybody knows who they are already and they have improved their relations with media, so Big Hit just doesn't need to work as hard to get them gigs anymore. The gigs probably come to them at this point :) 4. Also, it's probably BTS's success that's funding Big Hit's other projects. They made so much money on our boys that they can now invest in new talented kids who will be the idols of tomorrow. 5. They used BTS songs and clips in this video just to showcase their work, as if saying "look, we made BTS, we can make something of you too, come to our auditions!" 6. Trainees take years to prep before debut. Those who sing but can't dance have to learn to dance, and so on. It differs by age and talent, but people could theoretically be trainees for 1-4 years, so even if Big Hit gets lots of new trainees this year, we might not actually see them as artists for at least another 3 years or more. 7. This could be a very good thing for BTS actually. If Big Hit successfully debuts another artist/band in the next 2-4 years, they might be able to send all BTS members to do their military service together (and focus on the other band during BTS's hiatus). That way BTS'll be done at the same time and they can all do a joint comeback, if that's what they still want at that point in the future. This is all normal, everyone please relax :)

BTS came from a small company, they started with nothing. Jin who was casted just because of his looks, Suga who left his family and gambled his education just to do what he really wanted to be, Namjoon who was never have been supported by his parents, Jimin who thought himself as ugly and fat, Taehyung whose always been part of BTS but was never shown in any promotions- not until they debut, Hoseok who seemed to always laugh but never felt as an accomplishment to his father, And Jungkook who was very shy and have saved his parents at a young age by auditioning to companies. Remember the days when they were struggling? They even have to sacrifice and work hard just so they could eat? They were squeezing themselves into one small apartment and have to take responsibilities- the reason why they wrote the song 'Move'. The day they almost disband on N.O era because they don't have enough allowance and money to continue, but still they fought for their dreams? There was also a time when Bang PD-nim asked Namjoon if he wanted to have a solo career or sacrifice for BTS. He could have choose to be a solo artist since it was his dreams, but he didn't. He said BTS is BTS and they can make it! Yet, some fans are telling him to 'leave bangtan' it hurts him alot. Remember those times when they have to use their managers as extras to their MV's because they don't have enough budget? They even asked if they can use or borrow their staffs' and managers' cars just to shoot 'I Need U' MV successfully. Those times when Jimin has to starve himself just because people calls him fat and ugly. That one interview where Yoongi said that; it was nice that people listens to their music because Taehyung and Jungkook are good looking. And he thought that it was at least enough. Do you remember when Hoseok was supposed to be the vocalist and Taehyung is the rapper, but he chose to rap instead and learn it because Taehyung wants to be a Vocalist. It was Taehyung's dream and Hoseok loves his dongsaeng that much he would sacrifice. Other fan base were accusing them for plagiarism just because they had the smallest detail whose the same with other big K-pop group which is actually just a coincidence. There was a time when Yoongi packed 300 gifts and letters just to give to their 300 fans who will attend at their mini fan meetings. So why do people judge them so fastly? Did you know that Jimin came all the way to Seoul from Busan just to persuade his dreams? Did you know that Taehyung lived with his grandma gor almost half of his life making him innocent from what else is out there in our world? Did you know that Jungkook set aside his embarrassment just to meet the others expectations? Yes, he is the golden maknae, but he suffers too when he see his hyungs having a hard time, he cries. And there was a time when Jimin caught him crying and the reason is because he misses his family. Jungkook often cry secretly so that his hyungs wouldn't worry. Did you know that Jin auditioned to make his mother proud of him and so that his mom would have something to brag off to those judgmental neighbors they have. He worked hard on his vocals yet people called him talentless. Did you know that Namjoon worked hard just to produce songs yet there was a time when his mom ruined his computer and broke his mike so he could focus on studying? Did you know that Hoseok auditioned because he wanted his father to be proud of him? Because he felt like he was a disappointment? Those rookie days where they only listen to the awardings and be amazed by their seniors. They can't do anything but to watch those idols who receives the awards. The days when they were happy with just 300 views on KZread, mini fangatherings, small numbers of followers, and one Daesang award. They were contented. And now they've reached to the top and became more successful. From 150 fans to 6M and counting, From a small practice room to a bigger one, From cramped dorm with roommates to big dorm with each of them having a room, From one daesang award to more awards and they've even won on BBMAs. BTS never expected this before their fourth year anniversary, they've come so far- so far that the only chance we have to see them is to go to their concertor (NEVER) meet them along the street with 0.01% chance. But really ARMYs! We've came this far fam, let's love them and give them our support till the end! I wanted to thank y'all. I love you fam! I love BTS. Let's stay together until the end. If you believe in what I've said.

For the people questioning "why only boys?" Big hit used to have a girl group called GLAM. But they disbanded due to controversy over one of the members, who was sentenced to prison following accusations of blackmail in relation to an actor. Now stop commenting why boys only. People this is an audition NOT a fanmeet. All i'm seeing is complaints about how they aren't coming to their country and how they can't meet BTS now. The boys probably aren't going to attend the auditions since they can't decide who becomes a trainee and who doesn't. Please just support the participants, wish them good luck and stop complaining! For all they care they could just have auditions in South Korea but they chose to include other countries. Maybe next time they will include other cities! And sorry for my rant, but I am so pissed off!

Heather Crumpton, Of course they'll limit the countries, it's not a BTS world tour. They are looking for Asians/Asian looking trainees, not Hispanic, Black, White or other race/ethnicity. Why would they go to places like EU, Africa, Latin America etc? BH doesn't have to care about equality or 'fairness'. They're a privately held company and this is a business decision.
