Five months after this victory, my dad passed away. My dad was a loyal fan of the 'Stros since their inception in '62. I can't tell you how happy it makes me that he got to see this while he was alive and that all our familiy celebrated this with him.

They weren't cheating on the road but the Dodgers manager helped by strutting out Darvish to start whom the Astros had owned since he was with the Rangers. Bad managing. Do you think it's cheating when some teams can spend more than twice the money for players that the other teams can't?

Yet, listening to Dodger fans and the 'experts', Yu was almost a lock to win game 3. After all, he had owned the Astros, loved Minute Maid park, and they couldn't think of what could go wrong. The dagger came in game 5 when Kershaw couldn't hold a 4-0 lead! The best pitcher in baseball and he blew a 4-0 lead!!!

Made history on so many levels. The only team in history to go thru Boston (swept), NY Yankees, and Dodgers (highest paid team in MLB). The longest WS games ever played were both in MMP (2005 and 2017). Right now we are in first place in 4 categories (Batting Adv, runs, ERA, WHIP) plus we keep the silver boot. We just swept Texas and A's, and maybe even KC. All the best teams in MLB are all in the AL, so the only competition for the 'Stros will have to be a third league: The Justice League... but the 'Stros will still win tho.

Cheating is not why the dodgers Loss the series there inability to perform is why they loss. bellanger hitting below 200 with 20 strikeouts, turner hitting 200 and darvish era near 6 for the series. so instead of Dodgers pointing there fingers at the Astros maybe they should look within first, it's easy to point the finger at someone else rather than look in the mirror at yourself.

Not trying to take away from the moment but imagine in 2016 being a Cubs fan watching that game 7 staying up past the rain delay to watch extras and a moment 108 years in the making! Still gives me goosebumps! Having family in Houston and hating the Dodgers I obviously was pulling for the Stros in 2017 even if they had a little help 😉

Other teams should thank the Astros for cheating. In the games they cheated in (somewhere around 50) they went 26-22. They actually had a better record and better hitting when they didn't, especially on the road. They should be grateful that the Astros handicapped themselves to give others a chance.

Darvish was the Dodgers' big-ticket acquisition of the trade deadline that season, and they paid the Rangers a king's ransom of prospects to get him, If they didn't use him and still lost, the media would have ripped Dave Roberts even more than they ultimately did.

When you give up two Top 25 prospects to the Rangers plus another Top 50 prospect at the time, you have to use him for a situation like the one they were in regardless of the outcome.

The Astros made him pay for it in Game 3 in the 2nd inning, and here in Game 7 in the 1st and 2nd inning. I do cheer for Houston, but I'm pretty sure Dodgers would have won the World Series if Yu Darvish was not there as THE dodgers pitcher. Just my two cents.

Watching the Astros get that first world championship still gives me goosebumps.
