I have the money to buy these cars but I don't because vehicles are a terrible investment. I watch the show because they're the most American sounding Canadians I've ever watched. Also I'm a Vice President at a tech company and I like how they didn't just assume a CEO would be buying this.

I have been binge watching your channel lately and it is amazing. Every review is just on point. I watch a lot of car youtubers and what you have is something unique. Perfect dialogue that doesn't scream scripted, nothing too snobby and no swear words what so ever. I like that. In the words of James may, Every successful show on TV and on internet based media comes down to careful word choice. Words are what keeps an audience hooked. All special effects, videography, locations, etc are secondary. These things are like an Icing on the cake. No matter how good the icing is, if the cake underneath is not good then the people wont come back for the second time. I personally love the rolling beauty shots that you take. I also appreciate the casual opinions. What makes this channel special is that every car guy can relate to how you guys feel about certain aspects of the car. The more amazing bit is that whenever a a viewer doesn't agree, one of you gives an opposing view which keeps the said viewer in the loop. I personally would love to see your opinion on expected reliability, discounts and depreciation on the cars. I know it gets tricky to give a negative opinion on reliability of a car when it comes directly from the automaker's PR dept and that is the reason most channels and shows don't talk about it. I think this is an area if looked into would further make your channel unique. I hope your channel and business grows and you find more success than you ever wished for. Regards Dr. Fahad
@TheStraightPipes
6 жыл бұрын
+Fahad Khalid thanks for taking the time to write all that. Our dialogue doesn't seem scripted because it isn't, at all. We drive the car for the week and think about our opinions on it. Whatever we say on the day of the review goes. We never voiceover anything because that always has a script and the audio never matches. We can't speak about expected reliability because it's not fair to assess future/current reliability based on the past. Discounts and depreciation vary worldwide, even province / state / city wide. Even when we mention the price, people get upset because our Canadian prices are much different. That's why we focus on what we do. Thanks!

Great car! We own the 2019 XC V90 polestar. Agree about the infotainment center - you forgot "slow to get going at startup" . My issue with the brand, in general, is that there's not a service center for 250 miles of my current residence. Although, we have a great Euro Tech auto repair shop they are not able to get any software support to properly diagnose and repair. So far the 30k mile vehicle has been extremely reliable and I have learned to do regular maintenance on it, but one day I'll probably see it on a 6 hour, flatbed, trip to the dealership. 🤔
Absolutely Love this car!
