The 4B11 and 4B12 are some rowdy little motors I wish Mitsubishi still made the Lancer with these

Hell no, that cvt ruined it. A performance muffler sounds great, why are people against that now?

I like the 5" tip but a no go for the straight pipe. I'd put the 5" tip on my stock exhaust, silent, and happy with that.

At first I was like”not too bad”then when bro really got on it my face went from”😏” to “😕”in less then a second lol

It sounded great untill I found out it was a CVT. Would of sounded great in either manual or automatic.

I mean the revs sounded good, but when it was taking off it didn't sound good because it has no change in noise as it would have if it changed gears.@@andrecroker882

CVT is pretty good with the paddles. My kids each have 2.4s one an 08 the other an 09 and dad (me) has thrashed them both and I have to say the CVT in paddle mode is a fair bit quicker all round. But maybe it’s just because I pretend I’m in a f1 car while driving it. Both have the same exhaust set up. Just removed the exhaust and put a 3inch shortened pipe in. Both sound exactly the same

@Inkrebelnz I sold mine with 173k miles on it. Newer had issues with manual transmission, wondering if CVT would be already be having issues at 170k miles

@@theguyinblue123 if the trans is serviced correctly then it should last longer than a manual hence the price difference between the two. That’s some great mileage you got for sure

CVT's are a curse to the car community

Sounds awful with CVT, would sound good paired with a manual. This actually sounds pretty close to my 2002 Lancer which also has a resonator and muffler delete

Heyyy, if you wanna just have fun just shift to manual mode🤷🏻 all the fuss in the comments about it being a CVT! Yeah the gearbox sucks but its really convenient in the city and fuel economy. My 2011 Toyota Yaris had a fartcan (haha yeah I just needed to make noise lol) and it sounded horrible on auto mode. But on manual mode just rev high enough and shift on time, you get that fast as fuck feeling even though car so slowww 😂

doesnt even sound bad but damn that cvt ruins it. rather see a traditional auto than a dogshit cvt. a manual or dct preferably but a nice 7 speed would be okay.

The CVT isn’t bad in this, it’s drivers who don’t maintain or beat it up. It’s not a nissian

I've never liked the sound of a 4cyl engine, this makes it even worse. I'd rather hear an earlier Lancer 6 with the 6A11 V6. Now that is a sweet sound...
