Love the videos, although I think I'm most impressed by Micah's music. It does a lot to make the reviews enjoyable and thematically coherent without sticking-out or demanding conscious attention. It's nice to see he gets an outlet for all that creativity.

Would rather go with a F Type. The SLC still uses the old tech of the SLK, like the GLE and and ML before it.

MBisFrenchy Well yes that's because the SLC was just a FACELIFT of the SLK and the GLE the facelift of the ML. These aren't the all new models since they're only halfway through their product life cycle. The actuall all new GLE comes out next year.

Yes I was aware. The new GLE will be interesting to see go against the XC90 5 seat configuration.

MBisFrenchy Yes. For me the Volvo is off putting due to the lack of 6 cylinder options. I'm all for smaller 4 cylinder turbos in sedans and smaller cars but in a large SUV? No. Mercedes will at least have some 6 cylinder options and still an AMG V8 which Volvo won't have. And in such large cars, the benefits of downsizing is negated somewhat as the engines has to move such a large heavy car. They've shown in many tests that the 4 cylinder diesel XC90 was heavier on fuel than the V6 diesel in an Audi Q7.

No animals or human were hurt during the production of this video. Except a Cameraman (4:15)

So basically for the AMG I'm spending close to $75,000 and if I get the base model I'm spending close to $45,000 .... If that's the case I'm opting for a Porsche Boxster or a Camaro Convertible .. Who in their right mind will spend so much cash for a car like this that's low on horse power, and de appreciate in the first few years.. Also for a car worth that much their should never be any plastic in this car. What the hell is Mercedes Benz thinking ?!

Dark Knight​ true but a driver who knows the depreciation value of a Benz would rather opt for a General Motors car that has these things and more available for the same price . People now have to realize that a badge doesn't make a car more valuable it's the car itself.

J'ai une SLC 200 je suis enchantée !!

I sat in an SLC 250d today while my wife was picking up her new smart forfour. I asked the stunningly beautiful girl at the front desk if I could take a picture of it. She asked if would like her to take a video of me sitting in it so in I went! It was blue with black interior. I never liked black leather interiors before but I love it now. This was awesome. The seats looked very low to me and the doors high at each side leaving me with just my head above it. There’s so much room inside and blissfully comfortable. It has to be the nicest car I’ve ever sat in! I didn’t want to get out of it. I told her if I won the lottery tomorrow, I was going to phone her to put it aside for me 😀. We do love our new smart forfour though.

It's great the manufacturers are trying to move to efficiency as far as engines and transmissions go, but a biturbo v6 for a AMG and a 9 speed? I'm not sure this Mercedes is worth the price tag, but great review.

how do you justify choosing this over boxster other than convertible hardtop?

I have a serious question I need to know, will it fit the electric guitar case behind the seat or in the trunk?

I get my trust fund next week. Im thinking about SLC 300 or the 2017 F-Type Coupe.

I'm sorry but it seems like the SLK 55 AMG is better.

Thank You Micah for another Thrilling ride in the world of the Rich and famous hehe. However I say, buy a Miata, Or Fiat Spyder and put the rest of the money on a condo, or a home. What? already have a home? Take that trip around the world you've been always wanting to take with the other $30K or Buy a year old Mercedes and a NEW Miata then you can have more fun. Just ideas. ;)

I had to manually wire a backup camera to my 2006 SLK350, and was considering the SLC 43, but it does not even have a BU camera, so it is off my list of replacements for my SLK. Also, it needs a bigger screen and heated steering wheel to make it worthwhile to consider. I want something better, and MB is still living in 2006 IMO. MB also needs to update the SL550/SL450/SL400 interior to have a larger screen (similar to the S interior). I won't buy the SL either until MB wakes up and makes it a decent interior. Also, get rid of that toy joystick of a gearshift. Nobody could possibly like that little thing. I gave this video a like, but it needs to add this info to provide better info for people before buying these cars.

@@Mark-rt6fy LOL - SL went to a ragtop and 4 seats. I don't want 4 seats. But, the SL did fine except those extra seats. Not sure what's up with that. No longer an SL IMO. Just a (really nice) family car now.

when you want a miata but dont want to look plebian.

They screwed the SLK which had a beautiful front and rear as this one definitely is aimed towards the feminine buyers while sounding muted!

You haven't been in one clearly, my parents own one. The buttons feel perfect to push, the racing seats are really really nice. The CF trim is just beautiful and feels so solid.

In USA everyone's dream is a Mercedes (Not everyone but if you own one people think you are wealthy)

it's a two seater convertible, not a roadster, which is as useless as it can get. normal sized car with tiny trunk space, what the hell.. nothing can replace the SLK, definitely not this thing!

devon285 Nothing's changed here with the SLC. It IS an SLK just with tweaked headlamps and tail lights and new interior fabrics and colours. The SLK was also convertible.

SDav21 SLK's are short convertible roadsters, this just seems like a normal sized / shape car that's also convertible. I could be wrong but it surely does look much bigger than SLK models

devon285 Yes and this is that. It's got the same dimensions. All cars go through 2 stages in its usual lifecycle of 7 years. First they release the all new car, then approximately 4 years later they refresh it by tweaking the lights, bumpers, interior material quality etc to keep it fresh for 3 more years till the all new model arrives. This IS the old SLK in dimension and all. All they've done here was facelift it now and changed the name for future reference. It may look larger only because of the tweaks but small changes in certain parts can have a big impact on the car's looks. But it isn't a new car. It's just a new name.

Why was the trunk so steamy tho?
