I brought my Kia Niro last Friday. On the Testdrive it makes Fun to drive this Car in the Town and on the German Highway.

2017 kicks off with GREAT Motoman segments! I am a Subaru devotee (owned three of them, different models) over 20 years. KIA is the South Korean powerhouse that catches my eye in recent years. I see this as quality/price value. The styling is fine. I wish Motoman had said something about road handling...but, hey, I'm not in the market this year.

Just got mine today but its the EX model so excited!!! First new vehicle, First Hybrid can't really comment yet but totally agree on the aesthetics of the interior sometimes less is more. Thanks for the review!!

Love the show! Keep em coming. I live in the northeast, currently drive a '15 Optima SXL. I haven't seen or driven the Niro yet, but I'm looking forward to. It looks great on paper, and in pics/videos.

Kia has said the lower MPG's in the top range model was because of the much wider tires (and tire composition), not necessarily due to the extra weight of the vehicle.

Another enjoyable video. Perhaps its just me but the sound seemed a little off ? Your start jingle and hood/door closing are at one volume but your voice is quite quiet relative to them ? Even in the car out if the wind. Mic needs to be a bit higher on your shirt perhaps? Keep up the great work

I could see this as a family car for a family with a pickup as it's other vehicle.

MM, I enjoyed these two episodes. Before my '14 Ford Fusion 1.5T, I had an '06 Honda Civic Hybrid. Functionally, I loved it. The gas mileage wasn't exactly what I had envisioned but, it was pretty good. I had it for seven years and miss it sometimes.

I live in France and all our weights and measures are in metric and I was wondering when you talk about weight in lbs could you please insert a screen note saying how many kilos that is? Thanks very much for your hard work and excellent presentation skills.

Picked a touring model up and I'm glad I did. Just put over 2k on it and I average 51mpg with mixed driving. It's no power house took some adjustment coming from my older E46 BMW but not having to fill up every week is nice. The dual clutch transmission sometimes stumbles when coming to a stop and quickly trying to accelerate but that's my only negative so far.

What is the payload capacity of the Niro?. Also, since there is no CD player, can you plug in a USB CD player to the USB port??

If the efficiency of the design doesn't provide enough benefit, then keep the good ol' design we know and love.

I drive a fully loaded 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid, get great gas mileage in living in the Midwest portion of U.S.A. I think hybrid tech has come a long way since the Prius because of more being produced and that helps the costs be lower. I also think the government had standards that car makers have to meet by a certain year and hybrid was the next logical step.

I like it when you review cars that are generally affordable like this. The Rogue would be great to see since its wildly popular. :o)
