What a great race! It was incredibly fast and high energy! Very unlike this low energy, slow motion video unfortunately. The swim was a crazy, high-intensity beatdown for the age groupers, and the pros were absolutely flying during the first 30 seconds or so which I was able to see! Somehow, this video makes the swimmers look like they are pacing themselves for an English Channel Crossing or something. The cycling course was insanely fast, and I have never ridden a half Ironman anywhere near my average speed in this race! Somehow, this slow motion video makes the cyclists look like they are in their final moments before abandoning the Race Across America or something. I don't get it. This race was a beautiful, high energy event, and the video editor decided to capture that energy by slowing down all the action? Weird. Still, a recommended race!
