I just bought my Honda Pilot yesterday and this video saved me from having to explain everything to my wife. Very informative tutorial.Well done. A little video glitch while explaining the backup camera, but is negligible. It is very important to emphasize that Honda uses carplay to access map and navigation. So if you forget your cell phone, you will not have a map. This is a smart, or sneaky business, from their part as it saves them thousands on the software plus updates. The logic, I guess, is that if you can afford a nearly $40,000 car, you can afford a cellphone.

Just purchased the exact color and model for my wife last week.

After watching close to 60 different videos of Salesmen/Women "Trying to explain" the features of the Honda Pilot and Honda CRV, "you are the only one" who did it in such Great detail, none of them ever mentioned anything about the ECO Mode or that the engine will run on three cylinders instead of 6 when not under load there by giving greater fuel millage, another suprise was the fact that the wireless key fop has a hidden valet key built into it. The only thing you may want to keep in mind the next time you make a video on one of these SUV's is to turn the inside lights on or have a small flood light in back of you to make the inside of the dark cargo area more visible, other then that you have sold me on the Honda Pilot. Thank You

I agree. I knew about the key fob, valet key, but honestly, was not too sure how it worked. And the part about putting the key fob next to the start button, did know that! I have a 2013 Accord EXL btw. Now I really want a mid size truck and I keep going back and forth between this and the Highlander. I like the tech on the Pilot...Apple Car play is a big incentive for me. I have had both Toyotas and Honda and like them both. I really like this Pilot. Decisions, decisions.

God blessed me to be able to get this car and all I keep thinking about is that I couldn't afford the touring. Watching This, it's such a nice vehicle. Wish it had the Pano roof.

I am interested in this vehicle in 2021. Same color and trim.

Sooo I’m watching this video bc this exact car and same color 2017 HONDA PILOT EX-L is selling at our local dealership for 26K total purchase price (OTD). Payments on a 72 month at 6% with 2K down puts me about at $380 a month. Feels like a great deal but I’m not sure if that’s worth it based on age. Any thoughts? Edit: forgot to say a super important details. It has alittle over 60K miles. For additional context we have 2 kids. 1 toddler and newborn so that is the push to look into this car.

One major thing is in 2017 they added Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

I noticed in your video that your honda pilot has a shift instead of the push buttons for the transmission. I checked the honda web site for the 2017 and the interior view still shows the push buttons. Is the shift an ad on or standard for 2017?

Buttons are for touring and elite trims. Shift for all lower trims.

How do you get the heated seats to work? And ventilation in seats ?

There are buttons between two seats where you keep your phone and stuff with two controls low heat or high heat.

Does this model not have the DVD in the middle top of vehicle?

I believe its standard on the Touring and Elite as Dave Wilson mentions but its optional on the EX-L. I bought my wife a CPO 2017 Pilot EX-L and it had it.

Most new cars dont have CD players. Same reason Cassettes are no longer in cars. Most people stream blutooth in place of a CD player. Still has Aux jacks to plug in other devices.

If you get it with the rear entertainment system (RES) you can play audio cd's. Also if you connect your phone via usb you can stream music off of iheart, pandora or spotify. Its a great car! I'm 6'3 and its tall ppl friendly. Plenty of legroom
