The classic trio line up of piano bass and drums, excellent, and quite an achievement for Alba here, such clear diction and not in her native language she held the notes really well with solid phrasing, a joy to listen to. I keep returning to hear this performance she really nails it for one so young - Bravo. Quite an achievement to stay so solid on the phrasing at such a slow tempo, she nailed it though.

Music is like any game. If all the players are at their best it's the best and these guys are the best.

Alba is a very rare talent indeed - the piano is world class too. No less.

Alba is so good. Her delivery is just perfect. I listen to this group for three years now and just want more. Jan, Abril and Joan thank you. Incredible

He's great, but then so is that $112,800 SK7 piano!

Jan Domench is a superb jazz pianist whose playing compliments and caresses the song in a wonderfully smooth and vibrant way.

After many replays, this remains one of my very favorite Alba presentations. Jan's too. What a gift to the world is Maestro Chamorro and the SAJB!

All I can say is, I now understand why Ulysses had his men tie him to the mast and put wax in their ears. Every bit of that was so passionate, from the slow tempo, pensive bass, misty drum brushes, flirty piano and Alba's longing voice. You guys are amazing.

Your comment is very thoughtful (you are talking about Odyssey, by Homer, right?). I am pulled to this music as well. I don't understand with my rational mind how this is even possible, including all 4 performers (who are overcoming the original score). I totally understand your comment with my gut. I think with Homer in his Odyssey the rational mind was beginning to emerge.

In my opinion, you don't need any help at all. It's a habit I'm falling into myself. Can't get enough of the heartfelt ballads, both instrumental and vocal. I wouldn't want any help, anyway.

I forgot how lovely this performance was, great to watch it again 🎶

A word of praise for the sound engineers here. The recording quality is excellent. It's really hard to record bass and piano well. The piano here sounds like a very specific individual instrument with particular character, not just a bunch of notes on a generic piano. Of course the musicality comes first, but you techy guys have really captured a moment in time and space here, and I'm there in the room. It feels like I almost have my hand on the piano, can feel the vibration and smell the wood.

What a beautiful performance! The trio provides the perfect support for Alba's sincere and sensitive vocals. Jan's piano is superb, and kudos to Joan and Abril for their excellent playing.

What a great video. I love her excellent phrasing,accompanied by a wonderful jazz pianist,and sensitive brush work! Oh I nearly forgot Joan on bass. I might come and live in Barcelona,after Brexit.

The kid is great and a great piano. Don't stop guys.

Great singing by Alba. Loved the piano solo by Jan and the very perfect brushwork by Avril. But how can I forget the wonderful bass of the Master!

Alba has mastered American English better than any of the other singers in this fantastic group. I am listening with headphones, close your eyes and in many parts of this tune it is right on. I have been listening to this group of musicians for many years and they have all progressed to an amazing level of musical ability. Very intelligent group of young people.

These are not just tunes. They are songs and the lyrics were very important to their popularity. This type of music isn’t like some of those rock songs where no one ever could figure out what the lyrics were or what they meant. These classics of the American Songbook were written like beautiful poems. They can be played and be successful as instrumentals but the words unlock the full meaning. Handle with care!

It makes me cry, So beautiful! What a fantastic piano player and Trio. Mr. Chamorro knows his way around that Upright bass, Excellent Mr. Chamorro.

It's great to see Alba's work here. Such a lovely and talented young lady!

Alba does a great delivery of a terrific love song. The piano solo adds to the beautiful rendition. Way to go Joan!!

I have to keep coming back to this concept: It is very noticeable that all that is SAJB is not about show business. It's about teaching and learning, along with total development of individual talent and ability. That the end product comes off as astounding from the stage becomes a biproduct of what is being accomplished. What a pleasure to be able to be a small part of watching the development of these fine students. What futures they have.. I notice they sell out every venue where they perform.

Just got done listening to Alba. Where have I been? This is a 2017 recording and here I am listening to her in December of 2019! What a beautiful voice. I can watch and listen to Embraceable You sung by her and accompanied by the pianist like all night over and over againl, with a glass of Tangueray and tonic. I love it, I love it, I love her!

I love you Alba! And your singing and the band's arrangement and talents all made the hairs on my back stand up. I cannot remember any better rendition than this.

Alba's voice has become husky and sultry. The only element missing is a little vibrato and attention to dynamics to make it perfect. I've always loved her range and her ability to project. Bravo, Alba! We're so proud of you. Jan's solo on the keys is immaculate.

@@oldgreentop After listening to this more, I think you're right. This song doesn't need vibrato. I saw her perform in person last week and realized her voice is better than I could have imagined. I actually met her after the show and she is just as charming as you might think. Her stage presence, her energy - she's really evolving into a real professional...confident and charismatic. I was absolutely enamored.

Only about 9---Alba joined the band when she was 8 years old. And, when she did her trumpet solo on easy Money, jan was at the piano.

Another wonderful performance by Alba and Joan’s band. So much heart and soul in their performances.

I love the stripped-back arrangement that let Alba's voice be the focus of the song. It's incredible to think she was only 15 years old and giving such a powerful performance. Thank you, Mr. Chamorro, for exposing the world to all of this wonderful, young talent.

Listening to this again, it's still easy to marvel at Alba's style--she does ballads with all sorts of emotion. Also, what a display by both Jan and Abril with their sensitivity and expertise. Mr. C of course leads very effectively from the bass, the bari, flute, as a conductor, wherever he is it is all in perfect focus. In the very early videos, he is seen at the piano. Now, I'd really be interested in hearing/seeing more of that! And to think this was 5 years ago. Amazing.

Alba keeps amazing me. She know how to deliver a song. Her song selection fit her voice. Jan and Abril have a touch of magic too.
