Plan on buying a Sonic myself, looking into the Premier Trim as well. Looks like a great car and I'm excited.

they have these at the buick dealer where I service my car. I have sat in this a few times and I was surprised at how nice the interior design is. I love the two color steering wheel and matching dash board.

Great review, Green Chevrolet. This 2017 Chevy Sonic LS sedan looks too good ta be true. I'm starting to get interested in purchasing one of these bad boys. I like the Kinetic Blue Metallic color Chevy offers. Cool car. I like the upper and lower glove compartment, the blue color, the cool wheel covers, the split/fold seat backs, the audio system, the 1.8 Ecotec 4-cyl (solid, dependable engine) and the fact that the car has handles to roll down the windows. Yes, I actually like that. They won't break like power window motors do. In some cars. Nice new 2017 Chevy Sonic LS and great review of it, Green Chevrolet!

It does have car play. It is under the projection. When you connect your phone it will change that to car play or android auto accordingly

My favorite part of my sonic is the fuel economy.

first off Id like to clarify on a mistake youve made in the video as I have recently purchased a 2017 Sonic and this model at that(ive only put about 1,500 miles on it so far) Android auto definitely works with this cars interface thats what the projection option is for and it allows me to use maps and music apps from my cars interface with ease. I cannot say the same for iphone as I do not own an iphone. Second Id like to lay down some opinions I have on this vehicle for any potential buyers. I upgraded from a 99 Altima SE which even in 2017 is a REALLY nice car and got me where I needed to go for many years. I will admit I do like alot of things about this Sonic and am satisfied with the purchase even with my mediocre credit. I think for the price you are getting a nice vehicle and recommend the purchase for small families looking for a good vehicle or young students needing a decently fuel efficient vehicle to get them from a to b or for road trips.

Dorm what kind of gas milage do you get? Do you have the 1.8? Any problems with the car? Thanks

Yes the vehicle has the 1.8. As far as the gas mileage... I can say I was certainly expecting better, however in my area I can fill the tank(12.2gal) for what seems between $22>27 and it gets me as far or further than my previous car(99 Altima 2.4l) which had a 15.9 gallon tank and took me between $32>34 which is great considering they are just about equal in terms of speed imo. I am now at about 2300 and have been very observant of the vehicle and have noticed no noticeable flaws or defects and is not showing any signs of wear so far. I also finally used the trunk for the first time and it is quite adequate for such a car.

I own a 2013 Sonic, 1.8L automatic, LT hatch. I get 30 mpg most of the time here in DC and 27-28mpg in the cold winter months. I imagine the later models are the same. It’s a good car for the price, but you don’t get cruise control on the LS, which I think is an essential item to have, so I’d move up to the LT.

Thanks for clarifying this. I was pretty sure the "Projection" option was for CarPlay and got a bit nervous when he said it didn't.

Update: 3+ years after purchase and the car has 60kmiles on it. Never broke down, never left me stranded 1 minor accident(Front left fender, and door). It still runs fine and gets me point a to b. The only issues I've had are a purge valve which GM sent me a letter about and increased my warranty for it to 150,000. Also I've had to replace an intake solenoid 2x which was also covered by warranty and a fuel pump due to an "assembly error".My only qualms with purchasing this vehicle are not from the vehicle but from the dealer itself. I found out the hard way that my extended warranty was not accepted at all Chevrolet dealerships like they would of had me believe and only at the dealership I purchased the car at.... I ended up having to pay out of pocket at another chevy dealership 30miles away for the fuel pump repair at about 45k. Not only that but I'm starting to experience a rough idle and a rough start as well as a rumbling when the car decelerates. I brought it to the dealership expressing my concerns for the way it starts and how it's been running lately they say they will take a look at it 2 days later I pick it up and service manager says the mechanic admits it felt really weird and because no check engine light the service manager wont diagnose it unless I pay $150 and I'll get it back If something is wrong. I thought I paid that already when I purchased the extended warranty. So I decided I will do all the basic maintenance myself and I'll pay ANYONE but the dealership to diagnose it. Than I'll let the dealership fix it for free with my warranty so they wont make a dime.... DEALERSHIPS SUCK! the cars are...acceptable. I like the car and will probably purchase another Chevrolet but NOT FROM A CHEVROLET DEALER!!!

Just quit being so goddamn cheap and install winter tires and you will be just fine. They are so awesome in so. Wish young people could just once experience winter tires to know how awesome they are.

Wait..no Apple CarPlay? That's the #1 feature that I'm looking for. I thought the "Projection" option on the display main menu was designed for Apple CarPlay. Please explain this. Thanks :)

As senior I have no clue what that is so I will not miss it. Just remember these are the types of cars many senior citizens buy. All they need to go to Walmart, CVS, and the Doctors office.

Great Hugh. you young people would have lost your mind with cars many years ago power anything was only on luxury cars. besides why do you hate crank windows that much? It is not that hard to use them, and they will save you money in repairs.

I bought 3 older vehicles (around the year 2000) and every single one of them at least one of the windows doesn't go up or down because they're all power. It makes manual windows even somewhat alluring to me. The only reason I'd need to roll down a window that's not on my side is if the air condition didn't work, and I'm sure the air condition does work in the sonic and you won't ever have issues with the windows not working :P
