This video was very handy I have the same roof I found mines out of a junk yard in a Toyota Camry the only problem I’m having issues with is the button the the button that comes with it does not work with the roof now I tried other buttons but they do not signal the roof correct I was wondering do you have any tips I have the exact same roof with template and all

One of my favorite cars to do very easy. Have you had any problems with the plastic on the track for the glass to move breaking. We have seen some quality issues with signature lately. We install them by the thousands a year

No we have not had any issues with breakage. Tho the 840s have been so tight it’s been a issue but we are working thru then. We normally would install a Webasto 4300 on this car. But the customer wanted auto close. We only use signature basically for the 925 for trucks and old cars.

Mr. Sunroof I just heard to the grapevine that webssto has quit making roofs. And with the signature that’s the problem they have been too tight and overtime they break

What wires and harness do I need to tap in to to make sunroof work

In process of buying Charger with Scat pack I need the sunroof for my health especially when people in my car need air conditioning. I can't handle the freezing, having the sunroof saves me. My Maxima had a panoramic I loved it. They're all aftermarket none come out of the factory with a sunroof. Where are you located. I need somebody really good to do this work for me please? You do great work.

Depends on the car. Between 6-12 hours

Does it work like normal sunroofs and if we were able to find a wrecked dodge charger that came from factory with a sunroof and if its the same model trim would you do the work to put the roof part on the car and everything to work?

@@ItsNatesArt no it’s really not. What he’s talking about we don’t do. He would need a body shop to cut the roof off, weld in the new roof skin and then body and paint work.

@@ItsNatesArt there’s a big difference in a aftermarket roof and than tying to install a factory roof in a non sunroof car

I've installed the same on my Chrysler 300 ..... Unfortunately the roof lining now is detached from center/back side .... Any ideas how to fix this ?

Can you install a factory moonroof for Dodge Challenger or only the dealer can install a factory moonroof?

Factory moonroof can only be done at factory. This is the only way otherwise but they are just as good if not better.

Besides the rubbing alcohol what else do you use to clean out the silicone because I always have problems cleaning it out

$1,000-$2,000. Make sure you chose a shop that knows what they’re doing, even if it means having to travel two hours one direction, it’s worth the proper install.

Which aftermarket sunroof company brand is best and why? Webasto or Signature Automotive Products. When it comes down to warranty, workmanship, built and quality for reliable components parts like the motor, sunroof track rack, wires, circuits, switches, ring seals, water seals, water drainage hoses etc?

Yes they will leak if it is not installed correctly. I’ve been installing them for almost 15 years and never had a leak due to poor installation. Check out our google reviews, Restyling Concepts

That is actually a Signature Series 840. We normally install a Webasto 4300 but this customer wanted auto close. Lifetime warranty on parts and we are located in Joliet, IL. Cost is 1395 installed no tax

@@scott_gunderson thank you for your reply sir my 2018 LE Camry had the 700 series installed here in Minnesota, however, After the installation I’ve noticed there’s a lot of wind noise and I was wondering is that normal because it’s add-on not a factory or there is an issue due to poor insulation. @@10usausa well it’s one of 2 things. The glass could not be positioned right or it could have been installed poorly

I was scheduled for an after-market sunroof installation a couple weeks ago. But I have 3 friends that had a combined 110 years in the auto industry talk me out of it.

​@@BlaQSheepThey gave me several reasons. They said it would eventually start leaking. Maybe not the first or second year, but at some point. You lose a couple inches of headroom, as the track takes up that much room. You lose roof strength/integrity, as the car was not initially built for a sunroof, so will eventually cause squeaks and rattles as it ages. Evidently cars that are spec'd to have a sunroof at the factory are built differently. And finally, you will lose value on a trade-in to a dealer, as they will pull up your VIN and see it was an after-market sunroof added. So I don't know how much of the above will happen, but all 3 of the were adamant it was not a good idea.
