Great job on the solo, especially your first C after having changed and ascended the steps with barely enough time to take a breath! Consequently, a nice fat and pitched C, no wavering with a velevty flugel sound. Not just a trumpet player playing a flugel, as strange as that might sound to non-brass. What make of flugel is that btw? Love the finish! Cheers, hope you didn't age out. I did in '81.

I don't know why pretty much every possible camera angle of this performance has been showing up in my recommended feed, but I'm pretty damn happy it is. I played trumpet in my high school band, so this one was particularly interesting to me. That said, my high school was a tiny school in rural Australia, so... the standard was not quite the same :P Also as far as I'm aware marching bands are absolutely not a thing in this country, apart from strictly military, processional affairs. It really does seem like a very strange (but awesome) type of musical performance.

Bruu moment
I don't know why pretty much every possible camera angle of this performance has been showing up in my recommended feed, but I'm pretty damn happy it is. I played trumpet in my high school band, so this one was particularly interesting to me. That said, my high school was a tiny school in rural Australia, so... the standard was not quite the same :P Also as far as I'm aware marching bands are absolutely not a thing in this country, apart from strictly military, processional affairs. It really does seem like a very strange (but awesome) type of musical performance.

I first saw it on George collier now. Then saw it on different pages. Now I’m watching the full thing.
You guys did an amazing job, really enjoyed watching all of you. Also fellow trumpet/flugelhorn player here, great job on the solo 👌🏻
It seems like every body on BD's trumpet line has a double G. That's so crazy! On a completely unrelated sidenote... "Hornets... in the Food Lion! No! No!"
Dude he’s one of my new band instructors
Great example of box 5 quality. Great run! Congrats on 18! 💜

I really enjoyed the view of the lights toward the end.
You guys were soo Superbad ass! Congrats! The practice segments merged with your Championship performance is beautiful!! ...and your playing, Yiles! get down! With it! Good luck on whatever you do! Resume hut!
Wow, Drum Corps has changed so much since I was part of it.
Was 6:18 intentional? If it was,to me it gives a lot of what I call “character” to the solo.....but if not then.......it sounds so good.

Today my band is going to go watch the dci at the movie theater instead of marching band practice
Why are there some many members not doing the encore performance?
Out of my school district middle schools my school has the best band and we are the blue devils too. We have won top reward every time we have got to cedar point and we have been going for ten years. Even the school district says we have the best band

It’s incredible, I just think the guy who played it didn’t want to worry about a headcam on top of his three horns lol. He did a baritone solo, trombone solo, and then marched a different trombone for the trombone feature in part three. He had to carry three horns and mic up two for every show.
