Wow impressive! I thought it was insane when I had it, open throttle downshifts too are incredible. Just make sure anti wheel is on for those though! Imagine it with a full system 😍😍

I really should trade in my RSV4 RF LE on one of these. They're so much better on the road than a superbike.

Dunno, would say the new RSV4 is as good ourselves, and better on long motorway jaunts! That being said, the Tuono is way better than any other naked on the m'way - and both rip it up everywhere else! Got an LE? Nice!

Fast Bikes Magazine LOL WRONG street ability there ISNT a 1000cc which is close the fun factor the wheelie factor 😂 and the the insane pull from corner to corner is beyond.. i tried both last weekend and for the first time in 15 years on R bikes i would choos it OVER the RF and dont get me wrong the RF was Nice AF but the tuono when i came back ppl taught i fucked a girl on the WAY cause i was smiling like a IDIOT 😂😂😂 1000cc is WAY to top end it ruins the street ability..and wheelie is odd.. fook me the tuono was THE perfect street bike ❤

What's more impressive is the torque curve. Aside from maintinence costs and some reliability issues, if you were to have 1 bike road/track bike, I reckon this would be the best thing you could buy.

I have to disagree on the road part: bars are too wide which makes filtering a pain, when at all possible. With leathers on, the wind resistance is insane: 180 km/h is difficult and the full consumption is a joke: in the city, some open roads: between 130 and 150 km before the lamp comes on, at which point you have approximately 20-25 km to go. The same driver (me), with the same daily riding, on a 2016 and 2017 S1000 RR: between 200 and 210 km before the lamp comes on, at which point you still have approximately 60 km to go. Now the Tuono has a 18 liter tank and the BMW has a 17.5 liter tank.

fantomas3030 it's an awesome road bike. I manage to filter just fine. What you lose in side clearance, you gain in foresight because of your head being higher up. I've had sportsbikes for 16yrs and this has converted me from ever buying a road bike with clip ons again. Apart from my track bikes. It's not a sensible bike. But as a more comfortable alternative to a superbike, these things are incredible. All the new super nakeds are. Fuel consumption isn't great, but if I want good mpg, I'll get a daily ride. These are about smiles per gallon

fantomas3030 v4 engines feel so different to online fours. It's unfair to say "I'm losing some miles per gallon" on performance machines. I'd prefer a v8 engine to a v6. If the v8 had less mpg, I honestly wouldn't care.

Donald Trump (Verified) before I bought mine, I was looking at the new R1 or similar. The tuono reviews had me curious though. Its definitely opened my eyes. Couple of cons but many pros. I've always had "proper" sportsbikes. But I don't think I'll ever go back. You do need a bigger screen. Over 130mph you had better get LOW haha. But I always add a double bubble to every bike anyway. And on the track, you do lose a little front end feel(quite a bit). On the road, the wider levers give great leverage. It really is an awesome bike. I don't have the 2017,but I will. Don't think you could find a better hooligan machine.

Please do a longterm review on this bike so people can see that they are really reliable and don't fall to bits. I've done 8k on mine totally sweet and gonna get new model next year . My mates on his third one although he did swap for a mt10sp 6 months ago ,kept it for 2 months and swapped for another tuono. There a four of us in Stoke who ride together on these . Was thinking of trading in my S1000RR for a Tuono as one mate has just got himself a Superduke (like it but feel like I want to head off road and do some jumps on it) and another a BMW XR (Boy that bike is impressive for what it is) so time for a change. Drool worthy bike. Could be that the move to 1100 also prepared the bike for Euro 4, ahead of 2017? That would explain some thing. Also, I read that there's a new standard coming soon into place. I assume (I know, I know, assumptions) that these existing bikes are already compliant with it, or will require some minor minor tweaks for that. It wouldn't make sense to launch whole new gens, across the board, just to have to go through that same ordeal again in a few years. Maybe you can look into that, see what's really going on. Perhaps Aprilia is the only one that didn't do much for Euro 4.x/Euro 5 in advance?

not the only one to make more power bmw claims 5hp more on s1000r. my 2014 s1000r was making 160 hp on calibrated dyno. So that is rwhp. Don't get caught up on manufacturers quoted horsepower. They quite often quote a lower figure than it actually is. Bmw do this on the S1000r and S1000xr, they were quoting 160hp for the 2016 bikes but they were regularly measured at 150 to 154 wheel hp. I don't care what Aprilia quote the fact is that I have used that dyno at JHS myself and I can categorically inform you that it IS wheel hp.

i get what you mean but marketing can defuse math and numbers...15% power loss is something that no company can erase ...there is no around this...from crank to wheel is about 10-15% power loss and that is at best brother...if its too hot or too humid or way above sea level its even more than 15%...the truth cant be erased by marketing...or any kind of hp cooking
