    Top notch product without a doubt! I used the updated Motorcraft steering damper but have been in vehicles with this one. Steering was smooth as silk and bump steer very little to none.

    2 thousands views in 13 hours! Tells you how much this hits home! Almost A Public Service Announcement! Wow ! I can say so much thanks for this post! Amazing and truly exciting! I would have to start from the beginning in 2018 when I bought the vehicle and everyone including the dealer called my front end “Chatter”! I changed complete sets of tires to stop the chatter on my 2018 super duty. What was bad was turns on ramps changing from like interstate 80 to Route 394 near Indiana you would get off the ramp and the front END would chatter so much the vehicle almost lose control Like I said, I changed tires several times I went for a very expensive hard rubber back to a soft rubber back to the hard rubber, Everything I found on the Internet said it was a chatter problem and a defect with Ford and you seem to prove it IS that simple piston. It’s 2023 and I will do that! Thanks!

    In all reality the piston is just a Band-Aid per se but a very permanent type bandaid, they say the real fix is redressing the camber in the front end but it's expensive to order the camber shim kit and then have it done and then have the alignment done they say adding some more camera to it would fix the problem

    Truly appreciate this video, my wife's 250 Super Duty is doing this, after I had new tires installed. I've looked at everything but her steering wheel stability bar. Like that Fox product... Guess we're lucky my Dad is a retired Auto Tec. Hello from our family to yours!

    In 1982, My lifted by 4 inches 1979 F250 had the death wobble. Rancho steering stabilizer fixed it. At the time i had 35 inch Monster mudders on it . I miss that truck

    Had death wobble on my 2019 F350 dually at 17,000 miles. I have a little experience with dw as I have a couple of lifted Jeep’s with it. The dealer first said the drag link was “worn within limits”, and they replaced the steering stabilizer. About 4 months, and 5000 miles later dw was back, took it back, and this time the front tires were cupped, so they replaced the drag link. I am an aircraft mechanic, and understand within limits, however, anything in the steering system needs 0 wear, especially at low mileage.

    if you have not ever experienced the "death wobble" its an OMG! Things that make you say Oh Crap, Oh Crap, Oh Crap!!! I have a ol' 97 UHaul 14ft F350 dually and it had it going on. Banking on an off ramp going 55, and I almost lost it. I found the stabilizer bushings and stabilizer shock was bad and was easy to replace. Those death wobbles are no joke. Pay attention folks, this is an important fix...

    I have a 2021 F350. No death wobble. Not even a hint of death wobble. It's a stock crew cab 4x4 with an aux fuel transfer tank in the bed. No lift, stock tire size.

    I left the factory one in place and added a dual stabilizer kit from PMF to my 19. It made a huge difference. I have a couple Bilstein stabilizers on the setup. I couldn’t swing the Fox ones. 😂

    Take a 6 to 8 pound wood handle , cut the handle off to fit in your tool box .When I was a welder we used a short handle 10 pound sledge hammer in side semi tanks

    I mean I've covered this already and even in this comment section I've covered it with multiple other comments on what the death level actually is It's more of a camber issue than anything you got to like reset the whole entire front end though with adding a little bit more camber to it but ford doesn't want to own up to that being the problem it's not set correctly So the upgraded heavy duty steering stabilizer is more like a permanent bandaid but it works

    Is the death wobble only an issue with non stock trucks? I have owned 4 Fords (2 F350s, an F250 and an F150) all stock suspensions and tire sizes. I have never had an issue with death wobble.

  • @FordBossMe

    @FordBossMe

    Жыл бұрын

    To be honest with you the upgraded steering stabilizer only basically puts a Band-Aid on the death wobble to really fix the death wobble you have to redo the camber of the truck but Ford doesn't pay for that and it's quite expensive to do

    Steering stabilizers do not cause death wobble, they smooth out the steering wheel when turning, take it off and drive it, you'll see what it does.
