Why are so many people never able to seperate the role from the actor?! Seriously, just because they PLAYED a mild romance doesn't mean they fell in love in real life. I think that's one of the burdens of being an actor. I feel bad for them for getting such awkward questions...

Agreed. I mean they might "love" each other, but certainly not in a romantic way. But people cannot seem to separate them from their characters. I see that with fandoms all the time, especially amongst female fans. The Supernatural fandom can be just as cringy as the Doctor Who fandom.

I agree with you completely but the fans here have a reason! David Tennant actually dated Sophia Myles, the actress who played Madame de Pompadour and later married Jenny, the doctor's daughter. I have a theory that had Billie not been married at the time, she and David could've definitely been a thing.

It baffles me that people have these rare, wonderful opportunities to ask these great actors some original questions about interesting topics and yet they prefer to freak them out with weird nonsense that frankly almost makes the whole fandom look bad as a result. :(

@@rebekahpage8325 I know this comment is old as hell, but in fairness, as a St. Louisan, we hardly qualify as “down south”- we’re Midwest. The city of STL isn’t even remotely southern-seeming. Go about an hour outside of town, however… THAT is a different story.

Oh boy, when David said about Billie's lines on Doomsday (34:53) "I.... I love you", man, I must agree with him, the way she did that scene catches me all the time!

My Doctor, and favourite companion in Rose Tyler. So cool that they still get together for these panels in order to indulge us fans.

"Billie you probably get this a lot, this question's for David" wtf I thought he was going to compliment her or something, that was a weird way of phrasing it lol. I love watching these q&a's but I do cringe a little at some of questions and audience reactions. David&Billie both seem like really lovely people anyways :) Loved their season of Doctor Who

You can just see how uncomfortable Tennant and Piper are with half the questions they're being asked...

I am totally charmed by David imagining playing the monumental Tom Baker moment in Genesis of the Daleks. That scene, and Tom Baker's Doctor, is one of my great loves from childhood and to have it come full circle with the best of the new era Who Doctors just makes me happy altogether.

Have you been online?!??! Relationship pair-ups and what if's are a HUGE thing no matter how impractical, unfeasible, and completely against the laws of reality these things are! Some people are just hopeless romantics... Not always women but generally the larger proportion of them ARE! It's people fantasizing -- whether they're doing it because their own lives aren't fulfilled, or they're just doing it because or it's their kind of daydreaming. I dunno... I just pretty much ignore it because most of it is ridiculous and usually the pair-ups are so, so impractical for a million different reasons!

Wizard world was the greatest thing ever i loved seeing matt smith and billie i was so happy they answered my question!!!!

Rose and the 10th doctor worked because it wasn't a forced romance and Rose wasn't written into the story to be JUST his romantic partner... unlike River Song.

13 minutes in and I’ve cringed so many times. They didn’t have to do this, they could have said no to doing this panel. We literally don’t deserve them. I get the excitement, I’m a tenrose shipper myself, but when you have the amazing opportunity to ask Billie and David a question, make it a good one, don’t embarrass them and everyone else with you’re ridiculous inappropriate questions smh 🤦‍♀️

Really the only intelligent question here was the one that asked about the various characters they played, as well as the last question. Most of the others were cringeworthy idiotic fangirl "shipping" questions. Do these idiots stop to think that maybe these people are sick of being asked the same line of retarded questions on every damn convention they attend... I for sure would be. That's why I love the way Mark Sheppard handles stupid questions like this at the conventions he goes to. Sadly, the media itself plays into this bullshit too by asking stupid questions themselves on "entertainment" shows like ET and whatnot. This is the main reason why I cringe whenever question time comes up at these conventions, and it doesn't matter what show it is, or what other medium it is, be it sic-fi, horror, comic book, gaming, etc.

I can handle cringe quite well (Peep Show was one of my favourite shows for a while, just to illustrate) but I clicked away out of cringe before they could answer the "question" on the kissing. I mean, for fuck's sake, what a perverted thing to ask of two people in broad daylight. They're actors, not prostitutes. And even if then, there's a more respectful way to treat someone. I eventually went back to see them answer and I must say they answered it much more tactfully than I would have. However, what a weird fucking convention panel this was! What kind of people attended this? They're always a little bit strange but this one was disproportionately so.
