    Awesome machine man! How are the XTRs for ride quality on the occasional pavement? I am considering those tires for my 2018 Polaris Sportsman 1000 Hunter. Thanks for sharing!

    Would you mind measuring your outside to outside width with your wider wheels and tires? Thanks!

    The 3 people that says thumbs down I'd didn't know what they were talking about!!! I like the tires ITP have a lot of fun riding on mud-lite's snow, water/mud,sand I Think I should put these heavy tires in the front and put the mud-lite XL tires on the back 25x10x12 and buy two Xtr Radial mud lites for Front tires 25x8x12 on a big bear 400; 4x4 Babysitting no more this is my size up the gear oil

    I love your son in the background walking in the water. When we go to the creek or lake, that's all my son wants to do. How do these tires measure up? Smaller, bigger, or true to size??

    +Matt S they measure about 27" without lugs , so a little taller than 27". Ya its a sweet spot we have to ourselfs , right on the edge of town , but no one else has easy access like us ( thanks to the Grizz Monster) lol.. most people can't believe I ride it right down the river.. always gets a good laugh from the Kayaks .. Thanks for watching !

    Just wanting to make sure, you are using the Warren winch plate from the Yamaha accessories catalog for a 2016 grizzly and a waren Vantage whinch with 3000 pound capacity, its not 2500 right? I was looking at winches for my soon to be grizzly and wanted to go with a 3000 pound winch but wasn't for sure if it would amount to the winch plate that Yamaha offers cuz they say it goes up to 2500 Thanks!

    I am using a WARN mounting plate from my dealer ($110.00) and a 3000 pound WARN Vantage winch ($285.00) I then upgraded to a 50 ft sythetic rope my dealer had for $75.

    I just went and looked at a new kodiak 700 and I asked about bigger wheels and tires...he told me I have to do some clutch work since there more heavy and bigger and when I say bigger I am looking at some Silverback tires did you do anything to yours??

    I did a clutch shim (2mm) very easy to do , and I also added a R2 tip on the exhaust , and a fuel tuner.. All helped add back the grunt lost.. None of the clutch work is very hard , and there is alot of info about it on the internet. Check out Grizzlycentral.com .

    A little bit at high speeds. But I think the rims being a bit wobbly cause it. You could get them balanced, but mud would throw them off.

    I just bought a Warn winch for my 2016 Griz. Where did you decide to mount the contactor?

  • @POHLHAMMER

    @POHLHAMMER

    I mounted it on the back side of the mounting plate.. I did need to drill my own hole to line up for mounting relay , as the holes provided were for a specific Yamaha relay. hope that helps .

    you did buy a mounting plate also , correct ? Those are available at Yamaha dealers only , and you NEED it to mount your winch.. about 120 bucks i think...

  • @BlueYammer

    I just ordered one from KFI products for around $50. We'll see how well it fits. I was taking the plastic off and was thinking about mounting the contactor up by the shift lever using a custom bracket. I don't get into deep water, but I do go thru puddles at full throttle!

    +BlueYammer I would not worry about the water too much ,, it will either leak or it wont.. Anyways you get it working, im sure you'll be fine. just make sure to zip tie everything good , and consider where wires may rub thru.

    +- POHLHAMMER Awesome Thats not a bad price at all!! Thanks bud! I just rode a 15 yesterday and it had a good bit of power down low. It could wheelie if i tapped brake and pulled hard but would get up to 26-29 mph and fall. Hopefully seeing the 16 having more power will help and shim it 2mm with tires will pull the tires up no prob

    i have also 2016 grizzly , sometimes its backfiring or it happened when i was going very slow it died, do you have same problems? i mean its not big deal, it dies sometimes and start without any problems

  • @POHLHAMMER

    @POHLHAMMER

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Paul Stefanowicz I would ask your dealer to take a look at it , if it is a constant issue. No it should not die on occasion , it may get better as you break it in though.. Are you 100% stock ?

  • @POHLHAMMER

    @POHLHAMMER

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Paul Stefanowicz I think if you have 955 miles on it ,, it should not do that.. Try a new spark plug , cheap and easy. If that does not fix it , you should take it to dealer , show them on film , and request a valve check be done under warranty. Yamaha is typically very good at taking care of their customers , on the rare occasion of a problem. If it is doing that often , and you have never swamped , or abused that machine , than I would request it to be looked at. Like I said though , try a spark plug first, could be that simple... Good luck , I am sure once it gets worked out , you will get years of great reliability from your Grizz.

    Hey POHLHAMMER. Love the videos of your Grizzly! You have given me some great ideas for my '17 Grizzly EPS. What's the width of the new rims? 7.5" (front and rear) seems to be a popular replacement size. Also, now that the Mud Lite XTRs are a couple of years old, what do you think of them? Would you buy them again or try something else out on your Grizzly?

    I purchased my Grizzly before they hit the showroom floor , and at the time WARN only made a plate , and it was available ONLY thru dealerships , not even WARN would sell it. I am sure that there are Plenty of e-bay knock offs available now.. I like to support my local YAMAHA dealer anyways. (MukwonagoYamaha , WI) Its money well spent.. Thanks for the input , and watching !
