I heard a lot of guys saying that it is best to unscrew the fill plug prior to draining the oil due to a lot of cars having a seized fill plug. Nice video !

It'll look clean because there isn't any clutch material in the trans, but that crappy Ws fluid will of sheared down so it's better to replace it. Nice video man!

@@JaboTheMechanic thanks again for the video, couldn't find any, got this coming up for a car I just acquire and it's not the first trans fluid change I've performed but it's good to go through it before attempting it on a new to me vehicle, info on solid points to lift on is great too as I don't want to experiment on this car, liked and subscribed thanks again.

Thats was easy. The hardest part doing this from home is taking off and putting back on the splash shield. Here toyota charge 269.

I have a 2016 Toyota Prius and I was told by the dealership that the transmission fluid does not need to be changed.

So.... I've never changed the transmission fluid on my 2016 with 194k miles. I don't want to jinx it but it's been almost bullet proof and I've done all the basic maintenance myself since my last free oil change at 25k miles. I know there's always been the saying of "don't mess with your transmission fluid if it's never been changed and it's over 100xxx miles". Is this a true statement? Or is that only true for FLUSHES and not for drain and refill? Would you recommend I drain and refill?

@@JaboTheMechanic I'm reading forums online indicating the fluid doesn't need changed. Can this be correct? Our 2016 is at 100K and we haven't done it but we are thinking we should.

@kcmaldonado3948 dealership says it does not need to be changed. Because fluid looks clean. But I would recommend it to prevent any premature problems
