Raised as a Catholic. Recently became born again. Was always looking for fulliment just never didn't find it for many years. Glad I found this man, a Catholic, in the word for people. He is blessed and the holy spirit is truly guiding him in his teachings. God bless you all.

Mary Walsh you are still Catholic. Before you were born again, you were born again when you were baptized and confirmed. Come back to the true church that goes back to the Lord’s words. “Baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit”.

We are both saved and made right with God through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Not through baptism, which is a symbol of the new birth in Christ, but does not effect salvation. Not through communion, which we eat and drink because we belong to Christ, and through it, confirm his death and that we are partakers of his life. Not through getting doctrine just right; we are not saved because we get every thing right from the beginning; in time, the Spirit will guide us. No, we are saved through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and we are born anew when we invite the Lord Jesus Christ, by our own volition, to live in us: " ....for in Him we live and move and have our being..."Acts 17:28. Learn your New Testament thoroughly through daily reading, and walk in Christ. God will answer the prayers of your heart and supply all your needs as you walk with Christ.

Val P The ideas you put forth are not foreign to us as Catholics. They are but another obfuscation of the “doctrine left to you by the CHURCH, founded by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Himself. My problem is the presumption that we are wrong somehow that you profess so boldly as you oversimplify our Teachings! As you jab about Baptism or Communion or “getting doctrine just right”, as if it would be yours to pick and choose like a cafeteria Christian? All this, as if without the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, you would have any “Christian Church” to follow at all. Standing on the shoulders of our countless martyred Saints who died so that you could profess your diluted, watered-down version of Christianity and ignoring those who came before you as though they somehow “had it wrong”. My “doctrine” came from Christ and the Apostles and has stood the test of time for over 2000 years. (How about yours?) Think I’m being a little harsh? Maybe. But to be so flippant as though ideas that were conjured by some Baptist saddle preacher during the Second Great Awakening less than two hundred years ago seems a little harsh to me. I personally get sick of seeing comments like this on clearly Catholic video’s as though you just stopped by so you could casually save us from ourselves. Thanks, but no thanks. Ask yourself, “From whence doth my Faith come?” Then, while you are holding your Bible, ask yourself, “Where did this come from?” Then Google the COUNCIL OF ROME in 382 A.D. and you’ll find Pope Damasus I (and a bunch of other Catholics) got together and, through the power of the Holy Spirit, discerned WHICH Books should even be included in the Sacred Scripture which you so casually quote from today. Sola Fide, or Faith Alone, (as well as Sola Scriptura) is unscriptural and is a man-made invention, set forth to justify a DOCTRINE invented by the Reformers in the 16th century. Christ left us a visible Church and that Church is still here, just as He promised, until He returns to us at the end of the Age.
