I thought SBS had the best cameramen for their music performances.. It was such a shame they let the worst ones to be in charge here.. I mean, we all know how grand the stage is but please be more focus to give more screentime for SHINee when they sang!! If we can't watch them clearly while live performance, what's the different with listening to their mp3?! Such a shame it had to happen in SBS Gayo Daejun..

seulgi bear I know that of course because of the amount of groups they had there I legit didn't even realize how many groups they had until I looked it up. I mean people had to combine 2 songs in a matter of only 3-4 minutes and there were a lot of special stages I watched the majority of the whole thing. Of course I feel bad for everyone else that couldn't perform the full songs they had and that's just what happens whenever you have a bunch of groups that are invited and you have to situate the times at the best of your abilities. I was just saying it was just kind of weird yaknow hearing that they were gonna perform 1of1 I wasn't saying anything towards the fact that it was too short of course it'll be slightly "short" (not even short saying it's 6 minutes) because of the amount of groups they had

they are singing alongside a backing track like most kpop stars do. if it was mainly a dance performance they would have had to lip sync the actual track. here they actually sang along a back track of a recorded version for the performance. so it sounded like they were singing live but some of it wasn't

@@shw7598 you can say "they don't need it." But fact of the matter stands they use it. This is standard for idols and their performances that require them to perform choreo. Shinee here is singing along with a backing track to carry the weight of their voices while they dance. If you don't believe me, in mnet broadcasts (like all day all night for example) you rarely hear imperfections because they project the backing vocals un studio, but if you look at a fancam the B.T is lower and you can clearly hear mistakes. It's just production, nothing serious. I'm not saying they can't sing or some bs like that, but I am saying it's actually incorrect to say they don't use any form of backing or lipsync sometimes. All groups do it (only group I havent seen do it is the k rock groups and mamamoo)

@@nunyabusinessbro8527 i understood what you said perfectly. i didnt say they dont use backing tracks, ofc they do when they are doing a dance song. and like i said they *rarely* lipsync. they were the first ones from SM to not lipsync during their comeback stages in 2013, and they continued to do so since. there used to be a time SM idols were getting bashed bc all they did was to lipsync (according to netz), yet the comments always excluded shinee out, for obvious reasons. everyone is impressed *because* they can sing that good while still dancing their asses off. thats what they are known for. i dont think lipsyncing a few times in uni festivals is going to change that. putting them in the same plate with 'most kpop idols' who lipsync even at their concerts, doesnt sit right with me. neither calling it a 'standard' for shinee.

@@shw7598 and like I said you can be as offended as you want to be, but that doesn't change the truth. I never said shinee OR any idol groups MAINLY lip sync. All idol groups mainly use backing vocals for perfomances that require choreo, like I said. Shinee doesn't lip sync often because lip syncing isn't a norm in kpop unless it's for a really important choreo only stage. It IS a standard for shinee to use backing vocals. Look at any mnet video of any recent shinee performances. From view+, they are singing along with back vocals. And EVERY CHOREO performance in shinee world IV was either lip synced or had strong backing vocals. Their older performances didn't usually have backing vocals in them, but you would only see this from watching fan cams because the movies overlay the concert footage with studi audio in most parts. Like I said I never said shinee couldn't sing, and I also never said shinee lip synced *often.* What I DID say was they often use backing vocals like most groups. You have three kinds of performances. Vocal performance. Choreo performance. Mix. Even in a few vocal performances they use very slight backing vocals (and no, I'm not talking about the backGROUND vocals). It is not an all the time thing for them, but they use it sometimes. And they use it for most of their mix performances like MOST idols. Take a look at ateez medley. Backing vocals up until the rap parts. Hwasa maria live performance. Very clearly heard her vocal distinction from the backing vocal (which could be clearly heard because of how she performed.) And it's key to remember backing vocals are never as loud as the singers, because if it is THAT is what we call lip syncing.

okay so they look fucking amazing in red, amazing in anything in fact. I watched the entire sbs show live just waiting for their performance and ended up not being able to watch it properly bc my family kept calling me for random shit. Anyways they look fucking gorgeous and they ate their CDs again didn't they? they're legit overpowering the backing track and even though I can't hear the fan chants i mean i know everyone there was hyped bc its shinee. Taemin looks gorgeous and those vocals holy shit... Minho looks amazing in that colour and he SLAYED that rap. Jonghyun slayed those vocals but then again doesn't he always???? Kibum literally just strutted his way into there and had that sexy diva look he puts on and he slayed too. Jinki, our dear bb jinki. He looks amazing in red and he slayed this. I'm gonna miss him so much and I still can't believe he's going to be gone soon. But our boys did amazing and they practically owned the stage. I love seeing so many Aqua coloured light sticks because it shows that shawols will always be there for the boys. Taemin also slayed Drip drop at the start of the show and the shinee hyungs at the end looked so proud of him. Shinee fighting. ❤️

They were in no shape or condition to perform at the SBS Gayo Daejun 2017. That month was needed for them to grieve and recover from Jonghyun's loss which happened two weeks before this festival. How stupid are you not to realize that? The whole industry was shaken at that time. What else could they do but do something in honor of his memory and legacy.

@@kguerr197 Whoa, dog, calm down. They weren't complaining about SHINee not performing, damn. They were commiserating. Our worlds are fucked up from the loss of Jonghyun. Theirs were, even more so, and our hearts are torn to pieces not just for losing precious Jonghyun but also because we are all in so much pain feeling empathy for what the remaining members of shinee have to go through. The only way it wouldn't be fucked up, is if he were still alive. That's not a complaint about no performance, it's sadness for how much worse this year is for the boys than last year :( I can't write any more I started crying now, shit. For context, I took all the paid time off at work I'd saved up for two years and I flew to Korea and spent a month at Jonghyun's memorial. Alone. Well I visited it over and over between going and seeing some neighborhoods and restaurants and an outdoor Winner fansign. I bought all the last bits of Jjong merch I could find in subway stations :( Met some nice guesthouse owners I guess :(

This is why Shinee has so far been the only guy group I'm a fan of. Almost all of their performances are live, the dance and singing and performance are always charismatic and emotionally powerful. The thing about live singing, it's not even that they shouldn't lipsync, it's that live singing is so much more emotional. Also super psyched because these are my two favorite songs from this comeback!

This is the true LIVE PERFORMANCES from SHINee as expected SHINee always sings LIVE even SBS put it on their set list original form who will sing LIVE & who's not... groups with LIVE MR are the one who's singing pure LIVE and the one who have the LIVE AR are for lip sync... what is LIVE MR and LIVE AR? LIVE MR is like a karaoke, there's instrumental only so the person can sing. LIVE AR is instrumental with voice so they can fake their singing and you won't hear their breaths.
