2016 Myanmar Earthquake in Bagan
#myanmarearthquake #baganearthquake #bagan An earthquake strikes Bagan, Myanmar on August 24th, 2016 where I was livestreaming on Periscope. It was an unforgettable day. I will never forget one of locals reactions to the damage. There had been some shoddy repairs done temples not reflecting the original architecture by the powers that be and this earthquake had erased all that. "This is how I remember them. This is how they should be." he said.

Jan, this is from 2016. Today is the 5th anniversary. Don’t worry!!
It's very scary. I went through quite a few while living in Bali. It leaves you shaken up for some time. I 🙏 no-one was hurt.
