    Probably the best review I've seen on this car. The Autobahn trip contradicts all the critics who tell us that "you can't drive this car on the highway". Not that I'd really want to drive it on the Autobahn, but it does show that you can drive at reasonable speeds on highways without being run over.

    Imagine that! It takes a German reviewer to give the best, most accurate, all inclusive review of the Mirage I’ve seen to date. And for all the whiny American reviewers that claim they’re afraid to drive above 70 mph on the interstate... ugh yeah, he just bested you by 30+ mph on the AUTOBAHN!!!! If he can safely drive it on the autobahn, I think it’ll handle the daily commute back & forth to work. Thanks so much, great video.

    The Americans have long been spoiled by 7L V8 motors and 2-ton bungalows on wheels. "Econobox" does not mean the same in America as it does in the rest of the world, which is why they have that attitude, and also why nobody bothered to sell the Alto there

    @@charlesc.9012 Agreed. And that was the saddest day for me personally in automotive news… when Suzuki stopped selling here. I would have been a Suzuki owner for life if they hadn’t pulled out. I’d owned an 88.5’ Samurai Hardtop, a 92’ Sidekick, a 94’ Tracker Hardtop & 3 Metros a.k.a Swifts. What I wouldn’t give to have a Carry or a Wagon R or just a plain Alto. With the US restrictions, even if it has to be a 20 year old one, one of these days, I’m gonna have another & a JDM variety that nobody else has even seen this side of the ocean. 👍🏻

    Your English is fine and your detailed review on the Mirage was down to earth and not negative like the reviewers in the US do. It’s real and really positive rather than downgrading it and taking it on the autobahn sheer was a good idea as I travel highways in the US for work. I know I want this car now

    People are INSANE! I’m an American who lives in Ohio and actually went from a civic to a 2019 Mirage ES with added fog lights and all weather package in addition. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this car, mine is the same color as the one in this video and I’ve added a few things to mine, upgraded all bulbs to LEDs amongst other things since I purchased last August 2022 with only 6k miles on mine and one owner, this vehicle was well taken care of and is the easiest car to maintain that I’ve had in life thus far. I love the gas mileage, I average about 45-47 mph with mine but overall I’m very pleased and doubt I’ll ever drive anything else again. Excellent review overall 👍🏼

    People drive like A Holes in so much of the USA, exceeding the posted limit. Might as well be the Autobahn. What we need is more enforcement of the actual speed limit. Also to lower it to pre Reagan years 55 mph. Saves a ton of gas and emissions.

    I own a 2015 and I can concur with the general conclusions here. I must add that the 2015 Space Star already had the new suspension set up (and for the expensive models better noise insulation). However, I have got a few criticisms on the car that were not addressed here and also a defence of the car on fuel consumption. The criticisms first. The sunshade flaps are way too small and there is no black finish of the front window above the rear view mirror. Awful when the sun blazes into your eyes. The rear suspension is too weak or maybe the inbound resistance of the shock absorbers is too weak. But when there are passengers in the back or much Luggage, the rear suspension Bottoms out all the time. Furthermore some Space Stars have bad front wheel alignment issues that CANNOT be solved (espeically rear axle). Mine has a bad camber on the front wheels (positive camber on the left side and way negative camber on the right side). The factory is not really good when it comes to wheel alignment.... The rest is OK. On fuel consumption, I am a MPG freak when commuting and I get the 4.1 l/100 km easily then. On vacation I drive normally and then I get 5.0 l/100km in mountain terrain and on the German autobahn. Mind you, that is with CVT automatic transmission (coupled to a 2 speed automatic transmission, sort of high and low gearing). And oh, by the way, in Holland you can also get the CVT on the 1.0 l model.

  • @gottlasz

    @gottlasz

    Helo Ronald, did you find any solution for the rear axle misalignment? I also have the same problem on my 2014 space star. I found this forum: mirageforum.com/forum/showthread.php/4907-Rear-Alignment-Problem-FAQ but it is from the USA, it seems that the warranty there covers this issue. However i wonder if the warranty in europe covers it? Did you ask your dealer? Unfortunately i bought mine second hand without warranty but i'm thinking of asking Mitsubishi Hungary if they'd cover at least part of the costs or even if there is anything we can do about it. Did you find any solutions or have any experience with the warranty regarding this issue? My tires are wearing up fast and i'm afraid that if you make a lots of kilometers on highway maybe it's also wearing out the wheel bearing. Any ideas? Thanks, Valér

  • @ronaldderooij1774

    @ronaldderooij1774

    6 жыл бұрын

    Sorry for the late reply. If your car is still in warranty and the wheels our out of specifications, it is a warranty issue no doubt. If you are out of warranty, it is still a product fault and you should get a new rear axle. Maybe you would have to pay a part of it. Contact your dealer and make a claim for warranty or consumer protection (granted by EU and/or national law).
