The classical Karnataka music played by such high class musicians in Ravindra Kalakshethra of Bangalore, all high class. I miss Mysore , Bangalore and most the most beautiful state of Karnataka and it's culture.

It is rather sad that comments are being made in a frivolous manner without any regard for the music or the musicians. Being an electric keyboard permits much more speed, much more than the harmonium, and let the left hand free. The time will come when indian keyboard players take full advantage of it and keyboard will get a soloist importance;. Also piano should.; Bikram Mitra (and may be also some ohers that I don't know, including the one in this video) is opening the door.

+visakhans Sad that you call the Veena Maestro Rajesh Vaidhya as a "wannabe". Hardly anyone can play the veena like him in India, mind you! It is a hard instrument to amplify to capture all the nuances .. may be you missed the nuances. Overall the sound system deployed did not do justice to the concert. That was evident.

Unfortunately sir/madam, you clearly do not know anything about vainikas (not veena players). If you are a vainika yourself, I feel even more embarrassment as a musician and vainika myself. He is extremely talented and pushes the boundaries in ways that are amazing.

I don´t agree at all. May be you don´t like veena, but Rajesh Vaidhya is one of the best. No doubt. Otherwise he won't play "jugalbandi" witn Mysore Manjunath.

Instead of that stupid tabla we should've had Mohan Ram as second mridangist. Would've been excellent combo with Arjun Kumar. Tabla sound just does'nt go well with carnatic music, heck it does'nt go well with any music. The guy on keyboard is quite talented.

What a silly comment. This really shows off the lack of knowledge of you as a commenter. To say that tabla does not go well with any music shows your bias as rusty and rancid. Tabla is a wonderful instrument and plays quite well with Carnatic music. Blanket statements offer nothing more than the commenter's lack of knowledge and immaturity. Listen with an open heart rather than the thought that you know everything. You do not.

Tabla was excellent indeed. But being a North Indian he was not given his due prominence

All artists are highly talented and skilled. Good selection of raagas. Highly rich manodharma and excellent finger movements. My special appreciation for Chi Sathya on keyboard. May all of them be blessed exuberantly by the Divine.
