We in the midwest know what these can do, northern wisconsin people take these to work when major snow has hit, roads havent been plowed (often) in early am. You guys would love these when your crossover is in the shop on recall, these things are die hard and purpose built. We love em.

My 2012 Jeep Liberty jet has the same exact feeling. I’ve took it to the dealership about 4 times to check the steering and other mechanics as well and besides getting my upper arm control replaced the steering feels loose and doesn’t take bumps well

rented one in 2012 for Moab, my Ramcharger wasnt finished in time that year. after driving the Dodge for so many years off road, the short wheelbase and quicker pitch/transfer when off camber was hard to get used to. if i ever bought one it would be the 4dr. not likely to happen though, love my dodge.

for wrangler owners that live in hot weather states - do you go with leather or cloth seats? asking because i imagine with the top off and in the sun the leather would fry everyone inside. but then again cloth might get nasty when off roading? need insight!

Do you think I'll fit being 6'7, Also how wide are those seats? can they be adjustable? I work out and I have a really wide back which is annoying on little cars and trucks like this one

Why do you need a back-up camera? The back of the vehicle is 5 feet behind you. I don't care what year it is, turn around and look over your shoulder. The last thing I want is a bunch of equipment being forced on me (navigation, backup cameras, satellite radio, etc.) and driving up The price. Just more stuff to break, higher repair costs, more trouble. Keep it simple.

I agree with you man. Shouldn't be driving if you can't back up without a camera. He states it's the off-road king I've not once seen guys out on the trail looking a screen to backup. It's almost $40k he wants to make it over $40k with a pos backup camera. Give the damn jeep to me haha is what i say.

well I guess what happened recently was that some guy in a lifted jeep/truck looked back but didn't see his kiddo since the jeep/truck was lifted and ended up running the poor kid over and the kid didn't survive.. so in some ways it is good to have a back up camera and for the price of these Jeeps I mean.. why doesnt it have one.. plus you could use it when going offroad incase you are backing up from a tight place or something .. i wish mine had one.. now i gotta spend extra to add one... oh well

Yeah, I stopped watching after he ragged on no backup camera. This guy needs to get back in his mini van. News flash, reviewer, there still isn't a backup camera that can see through an inch of caked on splattered mud, which every respectable Jeep has.

That is actually a Rubicon Hard Rock Edition. it has all the basic rubicon stuff, but the Hard Rock edition adds the power dome hood with vents, and the metal bumpers front and rear, it also has the leather seats and includes the 9 speaker alpine sound system and the UConnect 430n radio on the 2016. ironically the 2015 model had a better radio the UConnect 730 with built in bluetooth. the 430n needs the connectivity group add on to get Bluetooth. All Jeeps are trail rated and usually has a black badge. the Red Badge signifies a higher level of trail. aka the Rubicon trail. the Rubicon package was designed to take on the Rubicon trail with 0 modification after it left the factory. and I agree it is the king of SUV's, after driving a Rubicon, everything else is just a 4 door minivan.

I like the red hard rock you have, I got myself a 2016 hard rock 4 door 3 months ago in black. Owned a 2000 TJ before that, and since then, I'll always have a jeep

+Hershel Patel, Thanks. I was actually looking for a Black Hard Rock with a stick shift myself. All the Rubicons they had on the lot were automatics, except for the Red Hard Rock. I was going to special order just a standard Rubicon with a stick shift, but the dealer made me a smoking deal on the red hard rock because it had been on the lot over 60 days, because everyone wanted an automatic, except me. It had 8.5 miles one it when I drove it off the lot. most of those were from me test driving it. I also owned a 2005 TJ, it had 150k on it when I traded it in. it never let me down or left me stranded. I felt guilty trading it in for a 2014 VW beetle TDI (the ones the VW cheated EPA emissions on and got caught) for my wife, and I took over driving her old 2006 Tacoma, for which I had a love/hate relationship. it love to breakdown, and I hated fixing it. After the AC fan went out the 3rd time in July in the desert, I traded it in on my 2015 RHR. I will never be without a Jeep again. In fact after driving my Rubi and the scandal with the VW TDI diesel emission, my wife traded in her beetle for a new Cherokee Trailhawk last November. I think I have made her a convert :)

get the insulated hard top. it makes a huge of difference in keeping your jeep both warm and cold. this is my 3rd wrangler. I have had a 92, 2005 and now a 2015. my 92 had a plane hard top, and it was cold in the winter and hot in the summer. my 2005 had just a soft top, it was so loud you could not have a conversation or hear the radio above 45mph. my 2015 is quiet and the insulated top helps keep it cool here in the desert south west, and it helps keep it warm when I am hunting in the winter.

The roof is detachable, not retractable and it is the hard rock version. Anyone who looks at a Jeep is going to know it drives different, no need to state the obvious 20 times. I would like a more in depth difference evaluation between models and what justifies the high cost.

All a back up camera would see is, rock, dirt, bush. And it would just break the first time you bounce it off a rock anyway. Besides that jeep is about $20k too expensive as it is.

Ryan Wallace if you have pets or kids I get a 4 door way more room for everything, but Getting the 2 will save you lots of money. If I was going to get another jeep I wouldn't get another rubicon if it was going to be my daily drive, much harder on gas because of the heavy axles and skid plate. What one are you looking at getting?
