I just bought one but it is 2019 - replaced my 27 year old Toyota truck. I’ve been reading the manual for a couple days. Lots of technology that I was unaware of. 2016 Pilot - very happy with it!

Man, i absolutely love this SUV, best Pilot yet. Honda does an incredible job making everything ergonomically correct in there vehicles from the side doors, all the way to the center display, just absolutely stunning. Also its a Honda so you have incredible resale value, and extremely high reliability!! Also great wonderful reviews Mike. Keep up your amazing in-depth reviews because your awesome at it!! :)

MikesCarInfo Yeah, thanks. I just looked it up. It was your video of June 17 that detailed the Touring model. I guess you would get used to the push-button model without having to look. I still like the feel of resting my hand on the shifter.

Are you going to do a Night View of the Honda Pilot? Maybe the EX-L and Elite since they have different headlights, I'd like to see the difference.

Just got a 2016 Kia Sorento EX for $30K....great restyling (especially interior), great options and better warranty. Amazing value with 0% financing.

As far as luxury, how does it compare to the murano? Biggest difference is dvd in back vs panoramic sunroof for everyone.

Any sport mode in this model or any other pilot model?

This v6 with the vcm gets worse mpg than the murano's vq enginewith260hp. Thanks to the cvt. You cant beat a cvt for efficiency and the murano is only half a second slower to 60. Its the murano for my money for the cooled seats and the panoramic moonroof and the surroundview am on the murano is the best. Honda cant cumpete with the11 speaker bose system on the murano. It's ionly missing a 3rd row. Id rather have super comfort 0 grav seats for 5 than so-so comfort for 7!

Too bad it does not have a cd player... I have Honda Accord 2010 EX-L, which comes with cd changer for up to 6 discs, which is awesome. I don't have to dig in my phone to search or change music, instead, I can do it using controls on my steering wheel. This helps me to stay safe on road, since I don't have to look somewhere else while driving... Otherwise, great car! Maybe I'll even buy it in future (For now, I really love my Accord)

What is the range of the remote start? Will it work from 100' or 300' away? Can I basically start it from inside where I work (in visual range) or do I have to be 10' away where it will effectively be of no value?

well detailed review....but I didn't like the blind spot monitoring mirror thing that Honda is doing compared to it's competition. I'd prefer the lighted images inside the screen and the audio alarm. Also, no volume knob for radio?? Really Honda?? It's one knob I truly enjoy on a car - don't like the cheap looking current volume set up. Also a pretty horrible arm rest. I'll take a pass on this.

Hey Mike, did you see on the news today that 13 people have died in vehicles with this type of starting system? I don't know the details except that Honda was one of the ones that were being sued. I'm buying a touring model if they can ever get the correct one "in white" at my dealer's location!....Back to the carbon monoxide, this would never happen to me because I have a detector in my bedroom. I have one there to protect from heating system failure or cook stove malfunction. A carbon monoxide monitor is a great thing to have in your home or apartment, but I never thought about leaving my car running in the garage! Wow!

Man...that arm rest...seriously, just not cuttin it Honda , they should have done it Highlander style atleast, this one looks tacky and npt enpugh for long journeys where a broader arm rest would be great!

Dealzguy yeah I can agree the arm rest is the greatest, we have a '12 and '15 pilot (2nd gen) and the arm rest feels a lot better than on the new pilot

MikesCarInfo Yes it does. Press the unlock button once and release it, and press it again and hold it. It will roll down all the windows and the moon roof will open up too.

I respect the work you do but both 2016 Pilot reviews that is 30+mins long doesn't even cover the back 2 row is pointless. You go over the same thing over and over. An SUV is meant to haul people not just one. Sometimes you have to copy the best reviewers on how they do things(i.e. Alex on Autos)to have more subs/viewers. Keep at it and wish you nothing but success!

Video is too long, it never did show how to actually use nav system to select a destination. Why didn't they put the camera on the driver side mirror instead of passenger? Hate you have to buy Elite to get Blindspot detection. And can't get Honda sensing and nav on EXL - have to choose. Which one is better.

I like all features in this car but to be honest,I can definitely say the body model is pretty much similar with odyssey mini van. If you guys keep the same body structure like 2015 Honda Pilot. You guys business will run smoothly otherwise,you guys business will go under the earth. Haaa I really don't like the shape of this car. But all the features are pretty awesome except body shape of this pilot. I have Honda Pilot of 2015,it looks pretty good but 2016 pilot seems ridiculous. It doesn't look like a SUV ,it looks like a mini van odyssey. Haaa

That resale value tho...

Styling is terrible. Looks like everything else on the road. Deciding purchasing factor between brands now will be which manufacturer gives the best apr, best least rate and best warranty. Sad. Honda blew it.
