Two things will make it 1,000 times easier. 1. Remove the Lucky Charms box first. That's the box which contains the dome light and climate controls (if you have that option). Access it's barbs by removing the two pockets above it. The pockets are held in by barbs immediately behind the outer lip on the pockets. Use plastic pry tools to gently work around the perimeter of the pockets until all barbs release. The pocket will pop loose when they do. With the pockets removed you can see the two barbs holding the Lucky Charms box in. Use a shorty flat blade screwdriver to fold the barb hook in so it can pass through the hole. The box will rotate down on two pivots in the rear, but don't take it off. All the access you need to wires and the hidden screw is right there. 2. Remove the 4 plastic covers from the outside with an awl not from the inside with a screwdriver. Just push the awl in between the plastic cover and the shelf it is recessed in. This will press in one of the barbed legs and pop it out. If it doesn't come loose on the first poke you did not enter where there is a barb. Simply move the awl over a bit and poke again. There are 3 or 4 wide barbs. They are easy to hit within two or three pokes. An awl is pointy enough to get between the cover and shelf without leaving marks. The covers are not all the same so number them with masking tape. Great video. Thanks!

hi. great video. im trying to remove the cover for the light to replace the bulbs. how do you get the plastic cover off or pop the light unit out of the headliner? i dont want to damage it. thanks

Hey, Great video! Thanks! I used your video a few months ago to remove the headliner to hammer out a ding. I put everything back but I must have done something wrong cause the key less entry or key FOB isn't working. (Note: I did plug that recepticle that is connected to the fabric headliner see 6:30 but it still didn't work) My question is, when you put it all back together, were there any wires or multi wire receptacle plugs that stayed loose (not connected to anything) or did everything have a plug? One more thing, the wires that were connected to the plastic shelf (see 4:50), what were those and were they connected to anything? Anything helps. Thanks!
