Where is this located on the transmission and is it a sealed transmission as I was told. I have a shift solenoid D bad. Can this cover be taken off to replace the part ??? And we’re is it located

I have a 2014 escape se AWD 2.0 showing code p0741 has a shutter to it change fluid 2 times put shutter fix in is that the same way to remove solenoid on the escape and which one is the tcc one please let me know thanks Rohan Boswell

Did you have to remove the front end of the car to get to this?

Did you replace them while transmission still in car?

What codes did you have?

In the case of a sealed transmission, such as my 2010 ford fusion, is it still doable to access the transmission solenoid? I have a P0976 error code and I need to access the valve body and check to see if a solenoid needs replacing since my acceleration slips.

I'm doing one on a 13 fusion. Should be fairly easy. Pull pan, maybe pull valve body on the newer ones? I'm sure there's forums if your not completely sure

Did you separate the transmission while it was still in the vehicle or did you pull the whole transmission. Only asking because from the video it kind of looked like it is still in the vehicle. Have a 2016 with solenoid 1 acting up.

So sometimes I use all data to get the diagrams, but one sure way I normally use ,is to take my bi directional scan tool and activate the solenoid one by one and so I can identify, each one ,the one that doesn't click is normally the bad one ,to be certain I still do a ohm and colt test before replacing,,,sometimes it's the passage way that's blocked ....I couldn't get into my email that's why I am just seeing your test ,sorry for late response

It's not crazy that's transmission work so its normal for a shop that isn't a transmission shop to know that.

I have 17 fusion in shop now for solenoid B code. They want to put in entirely new transmission. I don't even think they've checked out the solenoid.

Ok if your comfortable with taking off the pan and,resealing it with the gasket ,but the solenoid is easy,don't do it if your not comfortable ,some times Thier is blockage in the valve body it self ,when that happens changing the solenoid won't help ,you can do a flush ,if u have a bi directional scanner then u can test the solenoid ,first to confirm that is not working before u change it,always check the wirings first

@Rohan Boswell oooh Ok ok, so with the bidireccional scanner i can check if it's not working right? I don't have one but I'll try to find a mechanic that has one.

Yes he cannae use the scanner to activate the sensor in the transmission and listen for click at area of the transmission
